Written by Olivia Dixon, your guide to the perfect Nash Bash
Do it for the gram, and do it for the memories! Nashville is home to fantastic murals and iconic photo spots, and I’ve made it a mission to check out the best locations that will give you wedding-album-worthy BATCH party pics.
12 South
Murals @ Five Daughters Bakery
1110 Caruthers Ave.
- Best doughnuts I’ve ever had—they even have paleo and vegan-friendly options! Be sure to try one (or a few!)
- Photos taken mid-morning on a cloudy day; DSLR and iPhone photography approved
Hillsboro Village
Lipstick Mural @ UAL
1814 21st Ave. S.
- In an alley in-between UAL and Fido Coffee Shop in Hillsboro Village
- Paid parking lot directly behind Fido (around the first hour of parking SHOULD be free on most days)
- Photos taken during Golden Hour; DSLR and iPhone photography approved
The Gulch
Murals in the Gulch Parking Lot
11th Ave. South
- Located on the main wall of a large, paid parking lot across from Gulch Dental Studio + Potbelly Sandwich Shop
- Best during Golden hour because it is in direct sun during the day!
- Photos taken during Golden Hour; DSLR and iPhone photography approved
Candy Hearts Mural (Our BATCH Mural!) @ Finnley's Boutique in the Gulch
601 8th Ave. S.
- Use our hashtag #CandyHeartsGulch for a chance to be featured!
- While you’re there, stop in and shop around! Finnleys’ clothing is very “on brand” with Nashville, and they carry great gift items from favorite local brands.
- Photos taken mid-afternoon; DSLR and iPhone photography approved
Sylvan Park Area
Cow Print Mural @ The Dog Spot
5001 Alabama Avenue
- Have a pooch? Stop in The Dog Spot to get your fluffy friend a souvenir while you’re there!
- Photos taken during Golden Hour; DSLR and iPhone photography approved
IG "Like" Mural @ Vegan Vee Bakery
306 46th Ave. N.
- Not only a cute, mini-mural, but this bakery is my go-to for treats (even though I am not vegan… it’s THAT good!).
- Photos taken mid-day; DSLR and iPhone photography approved
It's Gonna Be O.K. Mural @ Off the Wall
3020 Charlotte Ave.
- This block of Charlotte Ave. contains diverse murals.
- Photos taken mid-morning. Go towards Golden Hour for soft lighting; DSLR and iPhone photography approved
- Pro tip: The row of murals is on a bustling Nashville street with only a sidewalk to separate your group from the road. Avoid going during rush hour traffic!
L&L Market
3820 Charlotte Ave.
- A beautiful retail and restaurant conglomeration with perfect photo spots including Amelia’s Flowers, Gracie’s Milkshake Bar, and more!
- Photos taken mid-day; DSLR and iPhone photography approved
- This establishment is inside and has beautiful, natural lighting. If you go with taking photos in mind, be sure to stop by during daylight!
All Over Nashville!
Amelia's Flower Truck
- Check @AmeliasFlowerTruck and ameliasflowertruck.com for location updates!
- Amelia’s Flower Truck is one of my favorite recommendations for any gal visiting Nashville! In addition to their retail space at L&L Market, you can find the three flower trucks, named Amy, Rory, and Melody, around Nashville on most days if the weather permits. As you approach one of the trucks, you’ll hear French café music playing as a flower attendant helps customers pick their blooms. I suggest building your own bouquet to use for photos and take back to where you are staying!
- Photos taken mid-day; DSLR and iPhone photography approved
Downtown
Ticket Wall @ the Nashville Municipal Auditorium
417 4th Ave N.
- One of my very favorite photo spots in Music City!
- Parking can be tricky, but occasionally there is metered street parking right by the mural (free on Sundays!)
- Photos taken around noon on a cloudy day; DSLR and iPhone photography approved
John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge
Shelby Street Brg
- The pedestrian bridge is a great spot for group photos and views of downtown and the Cumberland River
- Photos taken during Golden Hour. Go then for soft, beautiful lighting!
- DSLR and iPhone photography approved
Bobby Hotel
230 4th Ave. N
- A vibrant boutique hotel with rock n roll flair!
- Photos taken mid-afternoon in the rooftop vintage bus, at #CafeAtBobby (try the matcha colada while you’re there!) on the ground floor, around the lobby as well as by the hotel’s front entrance. No DSLR, phone photography only!
- Pro-tip: Bobby asks that you refrain from taking photos with a DSLR/professional camera, so be sure to whip out that iPhone for some bomb pics for the gram!
East Nashville
Cafe Roze
1115 Porter Rd.
- This East Nashville café is a local favorite not only because of its delectable food and drink, but also because it is a picture-perfect stop! Even the food is photo-worthy, so try out a few items on the menu (I especially recommend the roze latte which is adorned with actual rose petals).
- Photos taken mid-afternoon; DSLR and iPhone photography approved
Midtown
Pink Wall + Garage Door @ Emma's Flowers
2410 West End Ave.
- Located BEHIND Emma’s, parking right at the pink wall!
- Tag them in your photos @emmasflowersnashville, they love to see your photos at their shop!
- Photos taken mid-afternoon, DSLR and iPhone photography approved
Graduate Nashville Hotel
101 20th Ave. N.
- This boutique is fairly new to Nashville and is one of my favorite spots for photos because there are so many versatile ops! Stop by Poindexter, the cafe in the lobby, for a pick-me-up (the iced-matcha is my fave here).
- Photos taken mid-morning; DSLR and iPhone photography approved
- Pro-tip: Parking is limited to valet here and might get pricey unless you are able to find metered street parking (street parking is free on Sundays!). You can always opt to utilize a rideshare service to get there if that is more convenient to your group!
