The founder didn't plan to open a pole fitness studio. She was originally on her way to mortician school — which, if nothing else, tells you something about the kind of person who runs Teazers. A single class years earlier had already quietly changed her direction. The athleticism, the artistry, the confidence that came with it — she was hooked immediately.
When she moved to Myrtle Beach and couldn't find a place to train, she stopped looking and built one instead. She opened Teazers in 2013 with a specific intention: to create a space where women could experiment with movement and expression without the judgmental energy of a traditional gym. A safehouse. Somewhere you could be watched for the right reasons and seen without being judged.
Thirteen years later, that's still exactly what it is.
Private party bookings at Teazers come with an invitation to go there. Fully. Many guests rename themselves for the session — and the instructors acknowledge them by that name the entire time. Whatever name you walk in with is the one you go home to. Whatever name you choose for the class? That's who gets to show up for the next few hours.
It sounds like a small detail. It's not. There's something that unlocks when the expectations attached to your real name get set down for a bit — especially in a room full of your best people who are doing the same thing.
The studio leans entirely into the sensual side of pole dance rather than sanitizing it into something more palatable. The atmosphere is deliberately club-like. The instruction is real. The skills you leave with — the ones that made you say "wait, I actually just did that?" — are yours to keep.
What the Experience Delivers
Let's be honest about what draws groups to this. Most women have at some point thought about what it would feel like to move like that. The strength, the control, the confidence of it. Teazers is the place where that curiosity gets a real answer.
Groups walk away from private sessions with moves they genuinely didn't think they could do, a renewed respect for the athletes who do this professionally, and — because Teazers is Myrtle Beach in a mini-club atmosphere — content that looks incredible. The social media memories from a Teazers session have a very specific energy that no other bachelorette activity produces.
Depending on the season, Teazers also takes sessions outside — local parks, the beach — for something even more one of a kind. Not every booking gets that, but when it's on offer, it's unforgettable.
Who This Is For
Anyone who has ever wanted to feel like a dancer, move with more confidence, or just spend a few hours being a completely different (and arguably more interesting) version of themselves. No experience required, no particular body type required, no comfort with being good at things immediately required.
Teazers is body-inclusive and built from the ground up for exactly the moment when you decide you're finally going to do the thing.
Over 5,000 parties in. They know how to make it work for every kind of group.
