Private Pottery Party! Choice of Wheel Throwing or Hand-Building

What you'll do:

With the expert guidance of your private instructor, enjoy 2 hours of pottery wheel fun! Learn the skills of centering, shaping, and options for surface design! Or, if you'd prefer, hand build and leave the spinning out of it - our instructors will guide you through hand-sculpting planters, mugs, or incense burners! Make memories and art you actually want to keep! Make 2 wheel-thrown pieces - mugs, cups, spice dishes, matcha bowls...etc! We dip your stoneware clay pieces in our house white glaze for a speckled white oatmeal cookie finish! (hand building offers a variety of other finish options... just ask! ) We make it a real party!

Pottery is having a reaaaaal moment. Let us snap the cutest pics of you throwin' down on the wheel and in other IG worthy spots in our charming light-filled studio. We have hand-painted murals, a custom-made tile backsplash, and the funkiest circular couch complete with a giant hand pillow and a tree growing out of the center - perfect for group shots! Make a whole night/day of it! Our studio is located in the historic Stanley Marketplace with over 50 restaurants, boutiques, bars, shops, a salon, and even an intimate oyster bar 'speakeasy' with an epic view of the mountains! You can also bring cocktails/food from any of the vendors in The Stanley!

We are a local ceramics studio specializing in making clay accessible to all! We have a wide range of artists who use our space, including brand new potters, folks looking for a unique date night, girls' night out, semi and professional potters who sell and show their work, and anyone looking for the best party in Denver! If you want to play with clay, we are here for you! Sarah the owner and the other instructors at Friend Assembly are all former educators and love teaching newbies while helping people feel inspired and creative!

Additional information:

For larger groups of 12+ you get the whole studio rented, use of our gorgeous custom terrazzo marble bar (BYOB drinks and food of your choice) and party lights/music of your choice!

• Ceramics is a totally open art form! No pressure, no competition, and if you don't like what you make - you can smash it and try again (We are all about the process and meeting everyone where they are at)

• BYOB totally welcome (you're highly encouraged to get food and beverages from The Stanley)

• Leave the jewelry at home and bring a hair tie!

• Wear closed-toed shoes and dress in comfortable clothes that can get a little dusty (we do provide aprons, but don't wear your fanciest outfit to the ceramics studio)
