About this experience

What you'll do:

Experience sailing in NYC the way it should be experienced; aboard your own private sailboat. Available for up to 6 guests for either 2 or 3 hours. Set sail from lower Manhattan and take in stunning views of the harbor - making a close pass by The Statue of Liberty (for the perfect photo op, of course!) Available morning, afternoon, and evening, it makes for a great and intimate getaway option. You bring the friends, food, drinks, and good vibes, we'll take care of the rest.

Sailing yacht Sunset has been offering charters in NYC since 2017. Owned and operated by Captain James Brooks and team - a crew of passionate sailors and familiar faces in NY Harbor. We love sharing the magic of sailing along with the personal experience a private charter has to offer. We've been the setting for reunions, engagements, birthdays, photoshoots, anniversaries, bachelorette parties, you name it! Sunset is a 1987 37 foot O'Day, a sailboat design that was applauded for both its layout and sailing performance, and serves as a wonderful vessel for each unique experience. Come escape the summer midday heat or join us for a picturesque sunset skyline view - we look forward to every adventure out on the water!

Additional information:

  • BYOB - glass bottles are fine but please no glasswares (we have boat-friendly cups on board)
  • Kitchen is stocked with plates, silverware, napkins, cheeseboard, etc. for guests' use
  • Bathroom located in cabin
  • Children under the age of 12 need to wear a life jacket, which we have on board and will provide
