Flirting with Fire: Blacksmith Class and Demo Experience

What you'll do:

Join Hardy & Fuller for a fierce and fun women/womxn-only class. Pick from our Project Menu and master beginner forging techniques. Let's create bonds as strong as steel!

No prerequisites are required!

All PPE and safety equipment are provided. The dress code is strictly enforced for your safety and the safety of others (see Additional Details section).

This class is available for all differently-abled persons. We have wheelchair access throughout the shop. Please contact Ashe if you have any needs you are concerned about. Ages 14+

Hardy & Fuller (est.'d 2022) is an inclusive metal arts space in Denver, CO that provides classes, events, and other resources for people of all kinds who are interested in blacksmithing, welding, jewelry making, and more.

Hardy & Fuller is a unique project that combines several goals to enrich and improve the artistic community in Denver, Colorado. First, to offer a safe space for those underrepresented in specialized metal trades, such as women and the LGBTQ+, disabled, and BIPOC communities. Second, to provide the community with access to a fully equipped shop that facilitates the development and creation of metal artworks. Last, but definitely not least, to build a nonprofit that will fund an artist in residency program, scholarship opportunities for disadvantaged youth, as well as any other way we can bring the confidence and strength of metalworking to those that need it the most.

Additional details:

Please refer to the list below for our current dress code:

-Low synthetic or all-natural fabrics: Synthetic fabrics tend to melt to you, while natural fibers burn. Trust me you would rather have some scorched clothing than the alternative.

-Close-toe shoes: Normally, I would require leather boots, but if you do not have any leather boots, we do provide leather spats to cover your shoes.

-Pull long hair back

-No rolled cuffs on pants: Sparks love to jump into your cuffs

-Be prepared to get dirty!!! I wouldn't wear your haute couture to work in the shop (unless you're into that type of chaos…and it is a natural fabric).
