Hoodie Refresh: A Creative Upcycling Experience (BYOB)

What you'll do:

Give your hoodie new life! Got an old hoodie or crewneck just hanging in the back of your closet because of a stain, hole, or worn-out look? This is your chance to transform it into a piece you'll be excited to wear again! Bring in your old favorite, and we’ll guide you through the process of deconstructing it and selecting fresh fabrics to reimagine it with a stylish, upcycled twist. Choose from our bins of unique, colorful fabrics and textiles to add flair, then leave the stitching to us! In just 14 days, you’ll have a refreshed, one-of-a-kind hoodie or crewneck crafted to perfection.

About this experience partner:

2nd Class Fanny started out as a joke—a funny little accident, really. I went on a river rafting trip with some friends, and three of the tubes popped almost immediately. I kept the blown-out tubes and later made fanny packs for everyone as a chaotic memento of the day. As the owner of a sustainable home goods store, I decided to keep the upcycling momentum going. Now, we take what might otherwise be trash and turn it into treasures—everything from fanny packs to jackets and coats.

• BYOB-friendly: Feel free to bring drinks and snacks to enjoy while you design!
• Bring your own hoodie: We encourage participants to bring a hoodie or crewneck they’d like to redesign, but we also have some basics available for purchase.
• Personal touches welcome: Bring any fabric scraps, patches, or other materials from home that you'd like to include.
• Location options: Join us at Lite Foot Company’s creative studio, or we can bring the experience to you.
• Two-week turnaround: After the workshop, we’ll handle the sewing, and your refreshed hoodie or crewneck will be ready for pickup or delivery in 14 days!
• No sewing experience needed: we'll handle that!
