What you'll do:

Often rowdy and always soulful, a group tarot ceremony celebrates the bride’s rite of passage. The cards reveal the big lessons we face, spark us to create meaning in our lives, and connect us into our path. In a group tarot ceremony there are always lots of laughs, often a few tears, and plenty of big “a-ha moments”. It’s group bonding at its finest!

How the ceremony works:

• We calm our minds (and silence our phones), gather in a circle, and take a few breaths to center.
• We create an altar with each person adding a small token of magical significance.
• Each person receives a reading—perhaps about career, relationship, or general “WTF am I doing with my life?” questions.
• We finish with a round of appreciation for our guest of honor and make her feel special AF! We close with pictures, hugs, and a deep sense of feeling seen.

Sadie Chanlett-Avery, founder and Chief Yogi at Sassafras Revival, is a yoga teacher, tarot reader, and wellness retreat leader based in Asheville, NC. Formerly the In-House Yogi at Clif Bar & Co., she holds a Master of Arts in Holistic Health Education, and was named an Athleta sponsored athlete. Weaving together the practical and the mystical, she believes tarot is a perfect exercise for the intuition.
