What you’ll do:

Explore the fundamentals of quartz sand texture art in this hands-on workshop where creativity meets tactile design. You'll be introduced to the essential materials and techniques for creating richly layered, dimensional artwork. From experimenting with grain types to learning application methods, you’ll leave with both new skills and your own textured masterpiece.

• Materials you'll use:

  • Base surface: Canvas, your blank slate for creating textured magic

  • Quartz sand: A variety of fine, medium, and coarse grains to explore different visual and tactile effects

  • Binding mediums: Acrylic gel or glue to hold your sand firmly in place

  • Painting tools: Palette knives, brushes, spatulas, and hands-on methods to layer and sculpt your design

  • Optional touches: Metallic powders available for added depth, shimmer, and elegance

You’ll test at least three different texture techniques on a sample board before creating your final piece. The goal? A fully finished artwork with striking three-dimensional flair—perfect for visual and physical interaction.
