About the neighborhood
Aldea Zama sits about halfway between downtown Tulum and the sea - five minutes to either, stranded at neither. It is a master-planned community and it shows: pedestrian paths, mature trees left standing, contemporary architecture, and a quiet that surprises people who expected Tulum to be louder. Within a walk: boutiques, specialty coffee, wine bars, a bakery, a supermarket, gyms, and several of the better restaurants in town. Most of what you need for a week is inside a fifteen-minute stroll, which is not true of much of Tulum.
Getting around
