You'll walk into Board & Brush Safety Harbor and leave three hours later with a finished wood sign you actually built yourself — chosen, stained, painted, and distressed to match your space and your style.

• Pick your design – Browse the project catalog and select the wood piece and stencil that fits your home, your taste, or the occasion you're celebrating.

• Sand and prep your wood – Learn the technique behind working with raw wood grain so your finished piece has the aged, intentional look of something that belongs in your home.

• Apply stain and color – Layer stain and paint colors with instructor guidance, building depth and character into your piece rather than just covering the surface.

• Distress and finish – Use sanding and distressing techniques to give your sign a worn, heirloom quality that looks far harder to achieve than it is.

• Add your stencil and seal it – Press your custom stencil into place, finish with the details, and seal the whole piece so it's ready to hang the moment you walk out.
