About this Experience

What you'll do:

You cruise Charleston Harbor on a custom tiki-style party boat, coolers stocked with your own drinks, music pumping through the Bluetooth system, and the Charleston skyline sliding past on both sides.

  • Board the Brew Barge — Step onto a vessel built specifically for groups, with 10 bar stools circling the built-in coolers and a bamboo bar running down the center

  • Set your soundtrack — Connect your playlist to the onboard Bluetooth system and keep the energy exactly where your group wants it

  • Drink your way — Unpack your own beer, wine, or seltzers into the built-in coolers; cups and ice are already waiting for you on board

  • Cruise the harbor — Take in views of the Charleston waterfront, the Ravenel Bridge, and the coastline from the open deck as your USCG-licensed captain handles navigation

  • Spread out and settle in — The Brew Barge fits up to 18 passengers across bar stools and a cushioned seating area, so no one is crowded or left standing

Whether it's a bachelorette party, a birthday, or a group looking for the best Charleston party boat rental on the water, the Brew Barge delivers the kind of afternoon or evening people are still talking about on the drive home.

Why we love it for your party:

  • BYOB Policy — You bring exactly what your group drinks; no overpriced bar tabs, no compromises on brand or style

  • Custom Tiki Design — The bamboo bars, built-in coolers, and tiki aesthetic make this feel like a destination, not just a boat ride

  • Custom Night Lighting — Evening charters glow with onboard lighting that shifts the atmosphere completely for after-dark celebrations

  • Capacity for 18 — Larger than most private charter options in Charleston, so your whole crew can book together rather than splitting across boats

  • Onboard Restroom — A full bathroom on board means the party doesn't pause mid-cruise for a dock stop

About this experience partner:

Saltwater Cycle operates Charleston's BYOB tiki party boat experience from the Charleston waterfront, offering public and private charters seven days a week. Founded by Cody, who drew on his time with Nashville Pedal Tavern to build a pedal-powered boat concept tailored to Charleston's harbor, the company runs Cycleboats-built vessels with USCG-licensed captains at the helm. Guests consistently return for the combination of a relaxed, bring-your-own setup and a captain who knows the harbor well enough to frame every skyline view.

What should we bring?

It’s up to you! Here are some of our suggestions: - Drinks: 3 drinks per person should be enough - Snacks: Bring something to snack on, but use some common sense; make sure it will travel well on a boat. - Water - Sunscreen - Music: Make a fun mix, but please choose your music wisely. If it's offensive to anyone, we will turn it off. Our crew provides music for each cruise as well. - Layers: Depending on the time of year, check the weather. - Footwear: You must have something on your feet, and you may want to consider closed-toe shoes for pedaling.
