When I first experienced this tour and Captain Joe years ago, my friends and i had an absolute awesome time..We have been back yearly since . He is funny, informative and loves to share his knowledge and wisdom with this treasured treat ...Highly recommended and we will be back!!!

Highly recommend! Joe was amazing! He was knowledgeable, funny and so much fun! We had such a good time with him. He didn’t have another tour after ours so he stayed with us throughout the night, showing us awesome local bars and even made sure we made it back to our hotel safely!

It was a great time and very adventurous experience getting to experience the walking tour with Joe. He was very spooky and scares us a few times a long the journey with his tales of the stories of the town and why it's haunted! I highly recommend you taking your friends and doing this walking tour of Savannah!!! Super scary and fun!!!

Jun 2022 We highly recommend this tour! My husband and I and a friend joined Captain Stoner for a dive bar tour and he was so knowledgeable and friendly and fun! It wasn't like being on a tour, it was like hanging with a cool friend who knew a lot about the area and shared it with you in a way that was interesting but not like a tour guide. It was perfect! SO MUCH FUN!!!

Jun 2022 • Friends I am a repeat visitor to Savannah and have done many, many tours there. Last Friday, I had the delightful opportunity to be on a tour with Captain Stoner and 2 friends. My friends were running behind and he was willing to rearrange our tour route to meet up with them. Once we got going, we were told wonderful stories and even got the chance to to a speakeasy I've never been able to go to before. It is well worth your time to tour with the Captain!

Great guide/tour! My wife and I lucked out on this tour. It was just me, her and Joe so we got to pick his brain throughout the whole tour and Joe didn’t disappoint. We always love to here the folklore from the locals and Joe is a wealth of knowledge. He was also the only guide to bring up Rene, so that was a huge treat for us. Definitely 5 stars!!

Nov 2021 • Family What a great tour! Joe has extensive knowledge of the Savannah area, the stories are awesome, and the historic scenery is wonderful. Would recommend to anyone looking for a ghost tour!

Unscripted, personable tour Joe was a very kind and intriguing individual. He was able to captivate our attention for the duration of the tour. He told stories that you wouldn’t hear on the mainstream ghost tours that Savannah has to offer. It was a very personable tour with plenty of time for questions to be asked and answered. The tour also didn’t feel scripted like some tours tend to be. Overall I would highly recommend stoner Joe’s ghost tours to anyone who has already done the mainstream ghost tours and was looking for something different.

I really enjoyed this tour. Joe was very knowledgeable about the history of Savannah and made the experience a lot of fun. I overheard some other tours during our stay and they seemed very cheesy and scripted. Joe is not reading from a script and I really liked that. Super nice and personable, I would definitely recommend it.

Go with the Stoner Joe was entertaining and knowledgeable. He also was very funny, so we appreciated the moments of levity. We got a few good laughs!

Most enjoyable! Just Joe and me and visiting friend, We all kept our distance and masks on. Feb 2021 This was fun and more informative than I had expected. The other best part was that Joe shared ghost sightings. Joe went back to pre-Columbia history of Savannah. I'm talking some old old ghosts. This gentleman was very rich in history and knowledge. I'd like to do this tour again when other friends come to visit. I know Joe has more to tell.

#1tour guide! Nov 2020 • Couples Joe was a great tour guide!! We were a little late and he was super nice about waiting. We were the only people on his tour. And we learned so much about Savannah. Going in to the tour we knew very little. Coming out we had a good understanding on how life was lived in 1790. There were lots of other tours that we saw while out and they looked kind of silly with method actors and a ton of people. Joe was friendly and professional With a good sense of humor. So glad we went with his tour.

Oct 2020 • Friends Joe was very knowledgeable about the entire city of Savannah! He was able to make every single bit of information seem interesting to the entire walking group. It wasn’t just the knowledge either, he was able to give more information about the Ghosts of Savannah through a more detailed and intimate tour of savannah as it was off the beaten path of other tours. Very informative! Would recommend this 10/10 times!

We loved that this tour was small and personable because we were able to have many one on one conversations and have all of our questions answered. He also helped us get back to our parking deck.
