Ambiance is beautiful. It was fun. Better with groups of friends. Staff is kind. The actual making process does not last long at all especially since they pour the wax for you. All you're doing is selecting your jar, scent, placing the wick, pouring your scented oil, and adding glitter or crystals on top. If it weren't for the staff instructions the whole thing would take less than 15 minutes. Lids are extra. You have to leave and come back after 1 hour when your candle is set to add the toppings. Candle smells really nice and strong but havent used it yet. Glitter is biodegradable. The candle is pricey. Also the scents are pre mixed . You cant select single notes. For example if you select amber, it has other notes mixed into it. Wouldn't do again most likely.

Lovely experience but I did think we would get to pour the wax in the vessels. Everything else was as imagined, cute vessels, easy to understand process, perfect amount of time (1 hour), nice to be able to pickup same day. Very nice employees and adorable environment, perfectly #insta ready event.

While the candle making was a fun activity, we were hoping for more excitement in the experience. The paperwork while registering asked if we were celebrating anything and I shared that it was one of our birthdays and a fun “girls day out”, and neither were referenced which confused me why it was asked. We felt like there was a lot of “down time” where the woman helping us would do something else and we were unsure what to do next. We would’ve hoped the experience would have been more exciting, fun, and memorable to have us come back again.

What an experience! I will definitely be back. The staff here had amazing service and the selection of of scents were endless.

First time going here and definitely not the last. My husband and I are always looking for fun date night ideas and this was definitely exceeding our expectations. It is also BYOB so we brought a bottle of our favorite wine. Can’t wait to go back. It’s super cute and you get to pick everything from the color of your candle vase to the scents and anything else you want to throw in there such as crystals. Both of our candles smells amazing and will be going back. Also there’s plenty of restaurants nearby if you want to grab a bite while your candle dries up.

This was my first time making my own candle and what an experience it was! Blank and Mason's storefront decor gave boutique vibes with plenty of IG photo ops (with ring light to boot!). I could see how this would be a great option for date night or girlfriend time- especially with the BYOB policy.

I recently visited Blank Mason Candle Bar for a group event and had a wonderful time creating a custom-made candle. The process was interactive, candle making tools with choice of vessel were provided and our instructor guided us step by step. It was a lot of fun personalizing your scent using the options from their fragrance bar. The fragrance bar displayed scents organized in separate categories (i.e. woodsy, clean, floral, seasonal and sweet). With so many options to choose from, honing it down to two was quite the challenge. I managed to pick my two scented oils and blended them into the hot wax. As the wax set, I found time to go over their menu of botanical and crystal add-ons for toppers. From there, I selected my faves and went ahead to let my creativity run wild. Post visit, I really enjoyed my custom candle creation and I absolutely love the way it looks and smells! I'm almost hesitant to light it because its just too pretty to use. Mason Candle bar is the perfect option for any event or just going solo. This place is a wonderful addition to the Old Orchard mall if you're looking to do something fun and creative. It's a splendid opportunity to create memories and make a candle that is uniquely yours to keep.
