Question 1

What should I bring?

Accepted Answer

Our tiki cruise is BYOB whether you bring beverages from home or pick them up along the way. You may bring your own wine, beer, soda, mixers, water or your beverage of choice and snacks. Please remember sunscreen, sunglasses, bug spray, and another additional clothing you may want. A light jacket, long sleeve shirt or cover up might come in handy! We will have a cooler on board with ice, so you do not need to bring your own cooler – unless you want to! Bring a phone to connect to the bluetooth speaker system so you can play your music, too!

Are dogs allowed?

Yes! Dogs are allowed. Please contact us before your trip if you would like to bring your dog on board.

Question 3

Are there life jackets on board?

Accepted Answer

Yes, there is a type 1 PFD for every passenger, along with all the coast guard requirements for the vessel including a first aid kit.

Question 4

Can I smoke on board?

Accepted Answer

There is no smoking or vaping allowed on our tikis for safety reasons at any time.

Question 5

Can more than 6 people cruise at a time?

Accepted Answer

The US Coast Guard regulations for our tiki boats is 6 people plus crew…. this includes children (no exceptions).

Question 6

Can we swim?

Accepted Answer

Yes! We do allow swimming off our tikis at the captain’s discresion. The captain will tell you when it is OK to hop off and swim. There is a swim ladder on the tiki for an easy return!

Question 7

What can I wear?

Accepted Answer

We suggest wearing comfortable clothing, a bathing suit, and bring a sweatshirt just in case. No high heels allowed. Shoes must be flats, flipflops, or sneakers.

Are cruise routes subject to change?

Accepted Answer

Yes, all routes are subject to change due to weather or current conditions, docking, USCG restrictions or at the captain’s discretion.

Do you provide food or drinks?

We provide an ice filled cooler, cups and bottled water. For food and alcohol, feel free to bring your own or you can order from River Rock Restaurant & Marina Bar, Phone: 732-840-1110

Question 10

Who is my captain?

Accepted Answer

All our Captains have been vetted and trained through the U.S Coast Guard requirements. All captains have been chosen based on their experience with boating and knowledge of the area.

Should I tip my captain?

Our local Captains strive hard to give you the absolute best experience on the water…if you enjoy your time, gratuity is greatly appreciated! Thank you!!!

What can the tiki be used for?

Accepted Answer

Bachelorette Parties, Birthday parties, Sandbar Parties, Sightseeing Tours, private luau’s, corporate meetings, retirement parties,  bachelor parties, proposals, weddings, private parties or events, or everyone’s favorite…a day at the sandbar.

What about restrooms?

Our tikis are NOT equipped with restrooms. So we strongly encourage you to use the restroom before leaving the dock. So please do NOT drink more than you are able to “hold” while on your tour.

Can I play my own music?

Accepted Answer

Yes, we do have bluetooth-capable Kicker sound system that can sync to your phone and play your choice of music.

Question 15

Do your boats operate in rain and what about cancellation?

Accepted Answer

Cancellations made within at least 48 hours notice will be offered a full refund. We reserve the right to cancel any tour at any time due to weather, safety, mechanical or behavioral issues. If your tour is cancelled, you will be given a full refund or a rain check to re-book at another time (this excludes behavioral, along with alcohol related cancellations – these circumstances will never be rescheduled or refunded). For weather related issues, we may “wait out” a brief shower, reschedule for another day during your stay, or refund if unable to reschedule. “No Shows” will NEVER be refunded or rescheduled.

Where should I park?

There is ample safe and convenient parking available at River Rock Restaurant & Marina Bar. Uber and Lift rides are available locally and highly encouraged. Or ask your Captain for a local taxi company.

Question 17

Do your boats operate in rain?

Accepted Answer

We do operate in the rain as the tiki boats have a roof. However, the captain can decide at anytime to cancel due to conditions (typically high winds or thunder storms). We operate under USCG’s rules. The USCG does not advise going out if wind speeds exceed 20 knots.
