I would recommend if you want something to do on the red River

What an awesome experience!! We have kayaked the red river for years but now we are definitely adding tanking the red to our must do's in the summer. Great and helpful staff also!!!

The tanking experience itself was awesome! We were terrible at controlling it so we just bounced off of rocks and trees. 😂 But with the tanks you don’t have to worry about flipping! From a business aspect I will say it was a little sketchy. We pulled up and there was a gated drive. We pulled up at the same time a truck did that luckily entered the code for the gate. That is where the GPS brought us and we didn’t see anywhere else to enter so we went down the driveway. Finally found a sign that led us behind an old barn. We park and are led to a card table set up inside the old barn to pay/sign waivers. We are then directed to load on to an old white van with no other directions. We didn’t know where we were going, how far it was, where to entered/exit, nothing! Luckily we saw a ramp and had to assume that was where we were suppose to exit. Well guess what, it wasn’t! We got out anyway and left the tanks at the ramp and had to walk to the correct ramp so the van could pick us up to take us back to our vehicle. Like I said fun tanking experience we just had NO DIRECTION!

Not quite what we expected but would go again. Difficult to exit as the public ramp was already blocked by other empty tanks.

We were looking for tubing when we came upon this adventure so we tried it on a whim! We had a blast!!! Took about 3 hrs from start to finish. A friendly young lady was at the end helping us out of the water. The shuttle was there as we walked up the ramp to take us back to our car. It does get hot so bring plenty to drink. Take advantage of the stopping points along the way to cool off! Staff were friendly and informative!

What a relaxing day. We drove almost two hours one way to go tanking. We had 4 in our group.it was a birthday trip for my daughter, memories were made. This is definitely a kid friendly float and we will be bringing my great grand daughter next trip. We were out about 4 hours. We stopped and enjoyed some water time. As a Virginian who has been tubing the James River in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains for years- and wanting to try something new and not knowing what to expect- this was an awesome experience!! Would 10/10 recommend! Water is muddy and not like our crystal clear river in Va but it was cool and felt nice on a hot humid day. We stopped down river and got out of our tanks to play and eat our sandwiches…I love that the Owner is a down to earth friendly country girl and She drove us to the river herself… Small female owned business! Her family also owns property where Bell Witch Cave is located and gives tours. Check out the gift shop on your way out from tanking!Friendly ladies in there ( also family of property owner) Business is only 2 years old so still a few kinks to work out as far as timing of getting everyone from tanks back to your vehicle because you dont get out where you’re parked . Our driver from the river , Jeremy, was very friendly . No complaints over all! I can see this place taking off in the near future and becoming extremely popular !

Getting to the tank was kinda sketchy, they need to make some steps down to the water but it was an overall amazing trip. I would definitely drive the 2 hours to do this again

It was our first-time tanking and we had so much fun we decided to go twice in the same day. Everyone was nice getting us in and out of the river. I highly recommend for the locals to try this place.

We had such a great time! Thank you for being so kind! Idk why I see a review about getting tanks out of the river it literally took her 5 minutes to get us out and loaded up! People just need more patience I guess! Thanks again bell witch tanking! We will be back soon!

Great experience from start to finish. The lady that runs the place was awesome and really friendly. The tanks are not hot like you would expect from the sun. Very stable in the water and just plain fun. I wish I could give more stars than 5!!!!

Great unique experience as a day trip while staying in Nashville - easy, less than an hour drive. The tanking took a little over 3 hours but we stopped along the way to get in the water. Staff is very friendly, informative and helpful. We love supporting local small businesses and this one is well worth it!! Fun, relaxing and one of a kind experience. Tanks are extremely safe and easy to maneuver with paddles provided. Also offer chair and cooler rentals (bring you own ice - two stores very close by to grab it on the way). Highly recommended - we will definitely do this again when in the area!! Also visit the Bell Witch Cave adjacent to the tanking. 👍🏼👍🏼

We have done the canoe thing down the river for over 20 years as an annual trip this year we decided to try the tanking and boy are we hooked the lady and gentlemen that run it were awesome down home country people, so the experience was awesome and it was a learning curve at first but once we figured it out, we had a blast highly recommended and I can’t wait to see her get things set up just a little better. She definitely has the drive and the wheel to make sure people have a great time and is doing her best to make things flow a little easier please anyone give them a try at least one time we will definitely be back many more times thank y’all much.

Such an amazing experience. I grew up swimming in one of these tanks, and to float one down a river, is not something I had ever considered. It was fun for this big boy, his family and our dog. We will definitely be back to go again.

We had a group of 6 that went tanking for the very first time today. We had so much fun. We laughed so hard and made so many fun memories. If you haven’t been tanking before, it’s definitely something you should try.

Absolutely loved this adventure. We enjoyed the Red River in a galvanized tank. The trek was about 3 1/2 hours since the water was low. We enjoyed seeing wild live like, turtles, fish, blue herring, bald eagle, clams and mussels. We took a lunch and beverages while floating and paddling down the river. We also took our dogs, which were chilled while on the river. It’s like a lazy River in a tub. This is nothing like kayaking or canoeing, so go into this wonderful adventure with an open mind. We will be back!

Had a blast today taking down the red River. The owner was very nice and informative. Was adventurous yet relaxing all the same. Youngest in the tank was a 3yr old and never felt unsafe, great activity for the whole family! Give it a go.... you will not be disappointed.
