What is permanent jewelry?
Permanent jewelry is a claspless piece of jewelry that can be applied to many areas of the body including but not limited to: neck, wrists, fingers, toes, and ankle
Does Permanent Jewelry or Tooth Gems hurt?
Not at all! Permanent Jewelry does not cause any harm and should never be painful to you or us. You will not feel a thing as we are working with the metal - not your skin! There is absolutely no risk to you as the welder will only react to metal. Tooth gems are completely safe and painless when applied properly. With sanitary application and care, there is little to no risk involved.
Can it be removed?
The chains applied during this process are strong enough to last, but not to the point that injury will incur in the event that it gets caught on something. If pieces need to be removed, they can be snipped at the weld site with a pair of scissors or nail clippers. The jewelry can always be re-welded.
Will it last forever?
Permanent jewelry will stand the test of time and is designed for consistent everyday wear. Although, it is not invincible - it is still fine, dainty jewelry. Negligence, chemical exposure, continuous snags, and improper welds can cause issues such as breaks or tarnishing with your jewelry.
Who makes a good candidate for tooth gems?
Most people are great candidates! However, some clients may need to seek professional dental care before getting tooth gems or teeth whitening. At Forever enTWINed, we always prioritize your health and will kindly refer you to a dentist if we feel it’s necessary. Good candidates will: Have healthy gums (no bleeding or puffiness) Be clear from cold sores/HSV outbreaks Be at least 2–3 weeks out from lip filler injections Have strong, healthy enamel Have no open wounds or recent dental surgeries Be free from plaque or decay If you’re unsure about your eligibility, always consult your dentist first.

Can tooth gems be removed?
Yes, but only by a licensed dentist or dental professional. Gems usually fall off naturally with the adhesive still attached, but if you’d like them removed sooner, your dentist can do so safely without harming your enamel.
Can I get a gem if I have veneers, fillings, or composites?
Unfortunately, no. Tooth gem adhesive only bonds to natural enamel, not to veneers, fillings, or partial composites.
