What is Mahjong?

American Mahjong is a tile-based strategy game, usually played with four players, using the official National Mah Jongg League (NMJL) card. It's different from Chinese or other international versions, which may not use a card or Jokers.

Do I need any experience to take a class?

Not at all! Most of our students are complete beginners. You don’t even need to know how to pronounce “Mahjong”—that’s what we’re here for.

How many people can you teach at a time?

Private lessons are available for groups of 4 to 16 players. We’ll tailor the experience to your guest list and bring the right number of instructors to make sure everyone feels supported, engaged, and ready to Mahj with confidence.

What do I need for a private event or party?
