About this experience partner:

Not Your Typical Party Boat!

We don’t consider ourselves a “party boat,” but we definitely know how to have a good time! Our captains are nature lovers who also like to have fun on the water - sustainability and respect for the ecosystem are the core of who we are, and we want to help people enjoy that with some good music and a drink in their hand. Oh - and did we mention we are a woman-owned business with primarily female captains? Something a lot of our bachelorette groups appreciate.

Check out our Sandbars & Swimming: 3-Hour Boat Cruise from Folly Beach and Beach Cookout Boat Tour from Folly Beach for more trip options!

My husband and I, his daughter and granddaughter had the most wonderful sunset cruise with Captain Olivia!! She was very informative. We didn't know that there were birds that actually feed on oysters, known as the oyster catcher, and we got to see some, along with cormorants, pelicans and other sea birds. We also had sightings of several dolphins along the way and learned how they fed and were respected and cared for in this area. Thank you, Tideline tours with Captain Olivia and Lisa at the Regatta Inn for the reference!

Awesome experience! Olivia was extremely knowledgeable of the marine life and the history of Folly and Charleston. We saw 10-20 dolphins, two of which surfaced by the boat and then swam under us (of course, Olivia had turned the motor off). The sunset was an added bonus as the clouds parted just enough for us to see it. Definitely recommend.

We did the Tideline Tours sunset trip and it turned out to be the highlight of our visit to Charleston! We saw so many dolphins and had an amazing time out on the water. Our guide was super friendly, funny, and made the whole experience an absolute pleasure. Honestly, this was our last-minute pick for a tourist activity—and it ended up being our favorite. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Charleston—it was unexpectedly wonderful!

Sunset cruise with Captain Jim was amazing! We wanted to photograph birds and Jim spotted an eagle right away. He was very knowledgeable about local birds and had an amazing knowledge of local history. Needless to say, the dolphins put on quite a show as well! The price was reasonable, the boat was clean and comfortable. Would have felt very safe even if we’d had young children with us. A “must do” while visiting the area!

I couldn't recommend Tideline tours any more! We went on a boat tour with Captain Weatherly to a secluded sandbar with my small family and several others. She was accommodating for the young kids on the boat, keeping them engaged with questions, wildlife spotting's, and showing them how to safely explore with their senses. We spotted dolphins, fish, a variety of birds, jellys, and more. I highly recommend any of her tours for adults and kids alike.

Tideline Tours had great communication and got me on one of their trips quickly. Captain Joe was punctual and knowledgeable about the area. I loved how passionate he was about the Marsh and its importance to the ecosystem as well as the animals that live there. He also gave us the run down of great restaurants and what they had, as well as other landmarks and information about the area.

Highly recommend! We had a great time. Our captain, Olivia, was awesome. She was very knowledgeable about the wildlife. We saw so many dolphins. The stop on Morris Island was fun. My son found a shark tooth and many sand dollars. 10 out of 10 would do this again.

We did the sunset cruise on our last night in Folly, and our entire group of 8 agreed it was the best thing we did while there. Our guide Olivia was so welcoming and so knowledgeable. We saw so many dolphins and the views were breathtaking. I would give this 10 stars if I could. We will definitely be back to Folly Beach and I would do this excursion again!
