What you'll do:

We offer a curated wine tasting with cheese pairing. We will walk through a traditional wine tasting accompanied by pairings to better understand the relationship between wine and food. We will discuss and taste 4 different wines that are perfectly paired with 4 cheeses. Each tasting lasts about 2.5 hours, and you are left with your purchased wines and cheese. We can accommodate any dietary restrictions

My appreciation and love of wine was born in New Orleans, a city full of flavor and soul. As a Cellar Master at Legendary Commander’s Palace, I paired wines with the city’s rich cuisine. Managing cellar gems fueled my passion for wine, which turned meals into memories for their Chef’s Table Dinners. I learned that every bottle tells a story by working as a sommelier at Pluck Wine Bar and Restaurant.

Coastal Wine Gal offers such a great mix of fun and education. I’ve attended three of her classes covering the wine basics, to discovering how different Chardonnays can taste amazing through regions and changing culinary pairings, to an engaging German wine session where I found a new favorite and a wine region I never knew of! I really appreciate her down-to-earth approach that makes everyone feel comfortable, while still offering depth for those who want to learn more. Each time we leave with a few bottles. Coastal Wine Gal is a pleasant experience. Upon arrival you are greeted with a glass of sparkling wine. You are then presented with a beautiful presentation placement of cheeses and wine accessories for learning. After everyone gets settled in you’ll begin with an introduction to Allie the Coastal Wine Gal herself and an ice breaker introducing yourself and what you hope to learn and experience from the class. Overall, what I hope to learn and experience from the class was learning the different varietal wines from Germany and expanding my tasting pallet. That’s exactly what I gathered from the class. I learned and experienced that not all Rieslings are sweet from Germany and there are no wrong answers determining the essence and notes of each glass of wine. I am looking forward to exploring more wines with Coastal Wine Gal!

I attended two tastings hosted by Coastal Wine Gal. The first was focused on Chardonnay, and so much fun that I signed up for her second class on German wines. Both classes were held at Grayton Corner Cafe in Santa Rosa Beach. Allie's events are the perfect blend of fun and education, with Allie creating a casual yet professional atmosphere that felt like hanging out with friends. Her knowledge and approachable style made learning about wine enjoyable. The selections were unique and thoughtfully curated, introducing me to wines I’d never tried before. Whether you're a seasoned enthusiast or just wine-curious, I highly recommend Coastal Wine Gal for a memorable tasting experience.

Do you host large parties?

Yes! We can accommodate up to 25 people, but feel free to inquire if party is larger than 25 guests.

Do we need to do anything on our end?

Once you and I discuss wine and pairing selection, we will move forward to pricing. You will purchase all wine from a local retailer in 30A. I will assist in the entire process including pick-up.
