The Newport Theater is Wrigleyville's hidden gem and Chicago's home for fringe theater.

We boast a 125-seat theater featuring an innovative mix of artist-produced burlesque, drag, comedy, and variety shows including our weekly PeekEasy variety hour. Our bar features a selection of craft beers, wine, soft drinks and mixed drinks (no food/no minimum).

From its origins as the Links Hall performance space to its evolution as an improv/comedy theater, this intimate theater has featured many voices over the years. The Newport strives to continue this legacy by featuring a diversity of voices, perspectives, and attitudes while steadfastly providing exceptional entertainment.

Our facility includes a mirrored dance studio/photography studio and offer a variety of classes/programming thru our Newport Theater CAMP in addition to private rentals.

• All restrooms are single-stall.
• The venue is up a flight of stairs and does not have an elevator.
• We do not offer BYOB. Outside catering is at special request and may incur a fee.
• Comfortable clothes you can move in are suggested. We have several changing room options including single stall bathrooms.
• Shoes are optional.
• Tips are never expected but always appreciated.
