What you'll do:

Join us for an intimate evening of creativity, intention, and connection at These Hands Maker’s Collective. In this hands-on candle making workshop, you’ll craft your very own 8oz soy candle — blending scent, style, and meaning into something truly personal.

You’ll choose from a curated selection of fragrances, write an intention on a capsule to nestle inside your candle, and (if time allows) decorate the top with crystals once your candle has set.

Bring your favorite bottle of wine (or bubbly!) and unwind as we mix, pour, and sip our way through the magic of candle making.

This experience is perfect for solo makers, date nights, or a night out with friends who love to create.

These Hands Maker’s Collective is a creative studio and community space in Culver City where people come together to make, connect, and unwind. Founded by Denise Ambrosi, These Hands offers thoughtfully designed workshops that blend creativity with intention — from candle making and fiber arts to pottery and printmaking.

Hosting your gathering with These Hands means more than just a class — it’s an experience. We handle the setup, materials, and creative guidance so you can focus on the fun, connection, and celebration. Whether it’s a birthday, team event, or friends’ night out, we love turning ordinary get-togethers into something memorable, meaningful, and made by hand.

Additional information:

Candles take about an hour to set before crystals can be added. Guests are welcome to hang out, mingle, and enjoy their drinks while waiting.
Please arrive a few minutes early to get settled — class starts promptly!
Space is limited to keep this evening cozy and hands-on.

What’s included in the price?

All candle-making materials, fragrance options, an intention capsule, one 8oz soy candle, optional crystals for decoration, and expert guidance from our instructor.

How long does the class last?

The experience typically lasts 1.5 to 2 hours. Candles take about an hour to set before crystals can be added — you’re welcome to hang out, sip, and chat during that time.

Can I take my candle home the same night?

Yes! You’ll leave with your finished candle — just be sure to handle it gently if it’s still cooling when you head out.

What should I wear?

We suggest comfortable clothing that you don’t mind getting a little wax on (aprons provided).
