About this experience

What you'll do:

Explore the flavors of a James Beard Semi-Finalist with your closest friends, all while being surround by lime green walls and friendly staff. The food is created to be shared, but of course, your experience can be designed to be individual with the guidance of an excellent service team.

As you may have guessed, Chartreuse Kitchen & Cocktails does have an ample supply of the eponymous liqueur, Chartreuse. The recipe for Chartreuse was originally written in 1605, yet the Carthusian Monks began making it starting in 1737! They make a finite supply, so it is often is high demand, and we make a FANTASTIC Last Word Cocktail using it. The Last Word is a must when in Detroit, as it was created here during Prohibition.

Why we love it for your party:

  • It's finer dining in a low-key, fun environment.

  • We can accommodate larger parties.

  • The wine, beer & cocktail list have a little bit of something for everyone!

About this experience partner:

The historical building was built in 1926 and once house artists, Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera, while they were doing work next door at the museum!

The restaurant is centrally located in Midtown, Detroit and is just a Q-line ride or a mile walk away from the Downtown area.
