What you'll do:

Step inside the Chicano Candle Co. Candle Bar in Indio, where you'll create a custom candle while celebrating with your favorite people. Whether you're planning a birthday, bachelorette party, bridal shower, team outing, or simply looking for a unique way to gather, our candle bar offers a fun, creative experience everyone can enjoy.

Your experience begins by exploring our library of over 100 non-toxic fragrance oils, where you'll discover new scent combinations and create a fragrance that's completely your own. Once you've perfected your blend, we'll guide you through the candle-making process as you mix your fragrance into our luxury coconut wax blend, set your wick, and pour your very own candle.

During the first 75 minutes, you'll enjoy the hands-on process of creating your candle while laughing, catching up, and making memories together. As your candles cure over the next 45 minutes, your group is welcome to relax, mingle, enjoy food and drinks, play games, exchange gifts, or simply soak in the experience. We'll finish by trimming the wicks and adding personalized labels before you head home with a handcrafted candle that's uniquely yours.

We’re Vince and Adolfo, founders of Chicano Candle Co, a proudly gay, and Chicano-owned fragrance brand based out of the Coachella Valley.

We believe scent is one of the most powerful connections to memory. A single fragrance can transport us back to childhood, remind us of a loved one, or reconnect us with the places and traditions that shaped who we are. Through scent, we celebrate culture, community, and the stories that make us feel at home.

Inspired by our Mexican heritage, family traditions, and everyday moments, we create candles and home fragrances that evoke nostalgia and spark meaningful connection. Many of our fragrances are rooted in personal memories. Grass is a tribute to Adolfos father, who worked as a gardener and always came home carrying the unmistakable scent of freshly cut lawns; Chamoy reminds Vince of eating fresh fruit drenched in chamoy on a hot summer afternoon.

Growing up, terms like "Mijo" and "Mija" were expressions of love used by parents, grandparents, neighbors, and chosen family. Today, those values of belonging, warmth, and connection continue to inspire everything we create.
