See The Emerald Cave: 3-4 Hour Private Kayak Tour One Hour from Las Vegas

This was 100% perfect in every possible way. Ian is the owner and guide of the company and works so hard to make sure that his guests experience the river in a way that makes them fall in love with it as much as he does. He truly goes above and beyond to share fun facts about the area including historical information and wildlife facts. He’s also just a great person to have a conversation with. He made sure that both me and my 16 year old son were comfortable with the equipment and also made sure to include my son in our conversations as we paddled up and down the river. His kayaking equipment is also top notch. He uses boats that are lighter and better than some of the more corporate tour companies. He also keeps his groups small so that everyone has an individualized experience. I really can’t say enough about this tour. There are a few companies out there that market the same kind of thing, but I promise that this one is the best. Book it. You won’t be disappointed!

Ian was great! I e-mailed a few days before my tour to ask about the weather and he responded quickly. He mentioned that the weather for my tour time was not ideal and offered to change it to the earlier time. I am so glad I did because the weather was perfect! We had a beautiful, quiet day kayaking Lake Mojave. We even saw a group of big horn sheep 🐑 ! I've rented a bunch of kayaks in the past and I can honestly say this was the most comfortable I've felt. Ian was a terrific instructor and guide. You do not get the same amount of attention with larger group sizes. By chance we were the only folks in the group that day, but I believe the tours fill out at only 6 people. Every other tour we passed coming back was much, much larger. I hope I get the chance to come back and do the moonlight tour!

Ian was an amazing guide. He was professional and extremely knowledgeable about the area we were going in. He made the entire trip a blast with his witty jokes and fun facts about the environment. He did an amazing job making sure everyone in our group felt accommodated and taken care of. 10/10 would recommend booking him for all your kayaking tour needs!!!

Phenomenal experience! Ian took my husband and I out even though we were the only two who booked the tour for the afternoon - huge bonus since we were looking to escape the crowds in Las Vegas for the day! He was very generous with his time and was knowledgeable on everything from the history of the area to the plants and wildlife to great places to eat in Boulder City. The trip was an easy paddle, the water was crisp, clear, and emerald green. We will definitely be back next time we are in the area!

First time kayaking on the river. Ian was informative and patient...funny too...hope you like dad jokes! He'll quack you up. LOL. I took the 8am tour with a nice small group. It wasn't crowded heading out to emerald cave but it was on the way back as we passed other large tour groups. We took a nice break on the beach, had a snack and took a stroll which was a nice break. It was a beautiful day and a hidden gem from Vegas. I'll definitely take visitors on a tour with Kayak Lake Mead

We had absolutely no idea what to expect, other than we wanted to do this trip! My friend and I graduated nursing school and decided to spend our celebration outside. We ended up being the only 2 on the tour. Ian was one of the best guides we have had! Super knowledgeable and easy going and I did not feel stressed or rushed at all with time. Price was great for what you get out of it and no hidden fees. I will definitely be returning for the 12 mile trip and will be recommending this to everyone I know who is looking for a fun and versatile trip. Thank you Ian!

This had to be the best kayak experience ever! What you can't see from so far away is teeming with life when you get close up. Our tour was deliberately small compared to the others and at a time when the rest of the tours had not arrived. That made the river more peaceful and less pressure on those of us with little experience. Our guide was great, patient, knowledgeable about kayaking, history, plants and animals. He treated us like family. Thank you so much for the wonderful adventure.

We had a great time with Ian touring Lake Mead and Emerald Cove. He started the tour on time. Everything was set up and professional. The kayaks were top quality. He gave great instructions. He was very patient and it was an informative tour. We have learned quite a bit about the Lake and wild Life. The event was Professionally coordinated, and he even provided snacks. The event finished on time and I can’t think of anything that could’ve made it better.
