What is a sound bath?

A sound bath is a meditative experience where participants are “bathed” in sound waves from healing instruments like crystal singing bowls and chimes. The vibrations help calm the mind, relax the body, and reset the nervous system.

Do I need any meditation or yoga experience?

Not at all! This experience is designed for all levels — no prior experience is necessary. Just come as you are.

What should I wear or bring?

Wear comfortable clothing you can relax in. We also recommend having a sweater in case you are chilly. Everything else — mats, blankets, and eye masks — is provided. You’re welcome to bring your own items if preferred.

How long is the experience?

Typically sessions are 60 minutes, including a short introduction and closing reflection.

Can you host this experience at our Airbnb, office, or private event venue?

Yes! We specialize in mobile sound baths throughout Illinois and can bring the entire setup to you.

How many people can attend?

We typically accommodate groups from 5 to 25 people. We can also accommodate larger groups -- for larger groups, reach out for custom options.

Is this a good option for bachelorette parties or birthdays?

Absolutely! Many groups choose this for a grounding, memorable experience to mark a special occasion. It’s a beautiful way to celebrate and connect.

Is this experience suitable for people who are pregnant or have medical conditions?

In most cases, yes — but we recommend checking with your doctor if you’re pregnant or have a medical device (like a pacemaker), as strong vibrations may not be ideal for everyone.

What’s your cancellation policy?

We offer flexible rescheduling for private bookings with at least 1 weeks notice.

Star Sound Baths cultivated an EXCELLENT, top notch experience for our best friend's bachelorette party. The organization and preparedness was wonderful, bringing a plethora of different instruments to give us the full experience of sounds and relaxation. We loved how unique her approach was to offering a wide range of sounds to the sound bath. We so appreciated her kind and calm energy, adding small touches such as crystals and eye masks to celebrate the Bach party and make the whole experience feel extra special! We would recommend her for any event where regulating your nervous system is a top priority!
