Frequently Asked Questions
Is this a pool experience only?
Yes, this all takes place in a pool.
Where is the pool?
The pool is located between Park and Lexington avenue on 50th street. It is closest to the 51st/Lexington Avenue stop for the 6, E, and M trains. It is walking distance from the Rockefeller Center train station as well.
Do I Need to Know How to Swim?
You don’t need to be an Olympic swimmer, but you should feel comfortable in the water. If you can float, kick, and keep your cool, you’ll be fine. The shallow end is 3 feet deep so you can always just stand up if you are not comfortable.
We have a pool. Can you come to us?
Absolutely. Provided that you are staying at a place with a pool, have host approval, we are happy to come to you and run the experience where you are. We ask for a minimum of 8 people to do this.
Is this safe?
Like any adventure activity, SCUBA does carry some risks, but we manage them carefully. Our instructors are certified professionals who specialize in first-time divers, and you’ll start in a shallow pool where you can literally stand up if you ever feel uncomfortable. We only head to the beach if conditions are calm and everyone in the group feels ready. Your comfort comes first, and you’re in control the whole time.

How long does it last?
About 90 minutes to 2 hours depending on Group Size.
Can we drink alcohol before or during the dive?
No. Alcohol and diving don’t mix. Save the champagne for after. Trust us, bubbles are better when they’re in a glass post-dive. All participants must be 100% sober.
What do I need to bring?
Swimsuit + towel Dry clothes for after We’ll provide all SCUBA gear, instructors, and the laughs.
What if the weather is bad?
The pool is indoors!
What’s with the photographer add-on?
We have an underwater photographer who can take photos of you and your group having a blast. Our photographer will snap professional shots of your group underwater so nobody has to rely on shaky selfies. Think of it as proof you actually pulled this off. +$400
What kind of games do you play for parties?
We can go fun and light for birthdays, and even do kids games if it's a family affair, or more risque for bachelor/bachelorette parties. Fun underwater challenges designed to keep the group laughing and engaged. Every party’s a little different, and we’ll tailor it to your crew’s vibe.
Do we need to sign anything?
Yes, everyone fills out a quick health + liability form before diving. It’s standard in SCUBA and helps keep things safe.
How big of a group can we bring?
Our minimum is 6 people. There is no maximum, but we may need to rotate groups in order to maintain supervision standards.
