Took the Espresso class and highly recommend it! It was very informative, fun, and engaging. Julian did a fantastic job, he answered all our questions and guided us through the entire process, from the history of coffee to hands-on espresso making and proper machine cleaning. Cute coffee shop with all the Italian goodies.
My wife and I picked up an espresso machine and figured we'd actually learn how to use it, so we booked a barista class here with Nando. Two hours turned into four, and my Friday night was spent drinking coffee in Beverly Hills until 11pm. Nando's passion for coffee is infectious and genuine. You feel like you stumbled into someone's hobby before it became cool when you're in there. The class was lighthearted and Nando worked the room like he took over an open mic at the comedy store - it loosened everyone else up, and made the night way more fun. One warning: there is serious potential for financial side effects. After tasting coffee out of Nando's $20k machine, you'll be recalibrating your entire relationship with your current set-up and bank account. I wouldn't be surprised if he's in some type of espresso machine cabal.
A fantastic café with some truly memorable drinks--the Nutella and pistachio lattes are must-orders. The baked goods were equally impressive, clearly made with care and quality ingredients. The space has a warm, relaxed atmosphere that makes it easy to settle in and stay awhile. Nando, the owner, stands out for his hospitality--genuinely personable and attentive. A standout spot overall.
Coffee was 100/10, perfect amount of sweetness. Owner and crew member were very welcoming, greeted me with a little Italian and it truly felt authentic. I love when you can see the authenticity and intention behind a business. Never been to Sicily but this made me feel the warmth of what I feel like it would be.
