I truly cannot recommend Allie enough! From the moment I met her, she made learning Mahjong feel so welcoming, fun, and completely unintimidating. She has such a genuine gift for teaching — she is incredibly patient, encouraging, and somehow knows exactly how to explain things in a way that just clicks. What I appreciated most about Allie was how much she genuinely cared about making sure I was having fun and feeling confident along the way. You can tell how much she loves Mahjong, but even more than that, you can tell how much she loves sharing it with other people. Her excitement is contagious, and she created such a comfortable environment to ask questions, make mistakes, laugh, and actually learn. When I got home after my lesson, my fiancé told me I was absolutely buzzing with excitement. I couldn’t stop talking about everything I had learned, how much fun I had, and how excited I was to play again. And I really don’t think I would have walked away feeling that way had it not been for Allie. She didn’t just teach me how to play Mahjong — she made me genuinely excited about it and gave me the confidence to want to keep playing and learning. I went into the lesson simply wanting to learn how to play, and I left feeling like I had found something I truly cannot wait to keep doing. I’m so grateful that Allie was the person who introduced me to Mahjong. If you’ve ever thought about learning, I truly cannot imagine a better person to learn from. I would recommend her over and over again! 🤍

Working with Allie is like working with a life long friend. Her joy and knowledge and enthusiasm for the game are infectious! She introduced me to the game and I can tell you I am already a life long player and it’s all because of her!

Ok if you are trying to learn mahjong like the rest of the Indy metro, cannot recommend Mahj Off Main enough. Allie makes it so beginner friendly and is so patient answering questions and taking time to explain (and re-explain!). I also loved how much of the history of the game she shared and her enthusiasm toward it being a great game for everyone!
