Great things are big reasons to celebrate! Birthdays, a 200th review and becoming an Elite All Star!! So, in honor of all these accomplishments, I'm dedicating my 200th review to Chef Lance, who helped make my birthday on Jan 27th perfect, very special and exactly what I had hoped for on many levels! From my first conversation with Chef Lance, I knew I found a wonderful Chef, and person! He replied to my initial contact within an hour of messenging him. Through our many emails and texts, together we created a menu that well exceeded 5 stars!! My birthday dinner was prepared in my home for my family, 6 people total! Dinner was called for at 7:30 and Chef Lance arrived at my home around 4:00 to set up and begin preparations. He was so cordial, knowledgeable and his stories of becoming a chef and all his experiences through the years fascinated me! Now for the good stuff, my menu.... Coconut Shrimp appetizer, Penne alla Vodka, Salad, Chicken Francaise and Honey Glazed Carrots. The entire night felt like we were eating in a very cozy restaurant! Chef Lance plated every dish and we enjoyed it all tremendously! Everything was just delicious! I have to point out certain things that stood out to me: the chicken was purchased from a butcher, jumbo shrimp were used and so incredibly fresh and succulent! The coconut was toasted beforehand and the homemade dipping sauce was nothing like anything I have ever had before. It was fruit based with an Asian twist, just fantastic! Because Penne alla Vodka is a favorite in my family, an extra batch was made so everyone could take some home to enjoy again! After dinner, my kitchen was completely cleaned and all dishes, pots, etc were washed. My daughters BF bought a cheescake for dessert so at that point it was time for Chef Lance to leave. From start to finish, he was in my home for almost 5 hours! I can't rave enough what an experience having a chef prepare an intimate dinner was like! If you are looking for someone who will exceed every expectation you may have, Chef Lance is who you should contact. There's no doubt I will be seeing him in my home again! Chef Lance did a fabulous job cooking a dinner party for 6 people celebrating some milestone birthdays. We did have some food/allergy issues with the group and Lance worked with us to create a menu that would work for everyone. It was truly a magical evening and I highly recommend him!!

My sister booked Chef Lance for my Bachelorette Party in East Hampton. We (8 girls) rented a house, he came to us, cooked, served and cleaned up. He was a one man show with the most perfect execution. We had a vegetarian- he accommodated that. Since we also rented the house- we didn't have an over abundance of plates and bowls- so he was doing a lot of washing between courses, it still was all times perfectly, hot, fresh and so tasty. Everyone in the group also could not stop talking about he was quite possibly one of the most humble, kind, and easy to talk to people. Below is what we actually ate: We started with a meat and cheese plate. Perfect little starter. All very mild cheeses so it pleased and the crowd and everyone loved it. He then did a perfect little salad with arugula, cheese, and some other veggies. Next course was a fresh pasta with sautéed spinach, red sauce and for the shrimp lovers, shrimp. He was super accommodating as half of us wanted shrimp and half did not. Main course was a steak, roasted potatoes and asparagus. The potatoes had a lemon to them and were something I've never had and out of this world. Asparagus was perfectly roasted and the steak melted in my mouth. The glaze he put on top of the steak, I could have drank from a bottle, it was so good! Final course was a lava cake. Fresh from the oven, served warm-- literally just the best to finish off the evening.

Wonderful experience! Came to cater for a bachelorette party. He made plenty of wonderful food. Made sure we had enough food for when we are hungry late at night. I Would have him come to my next event!

Chef Lance provided an amazing spread for our company's summer outing. He was extremely flexible and great at adapting the menu for a crowd, and was great at communicating prior to the event. He made sure that nobody went hungry and the food was extremely delicious and amazing quality! We will be recommending him to anyone in the area and keeping him in mind for future events on the Island.

I booked Chef Lance for a birthday dinner party and he was phenomenal. The food was excellent; the presentation was so elegant. He was also such a kind person --even showed my son ingredients and cooking tips because he was interested. Really such a wonderful experience.

He was super professional, passionate about his craft, friendly and you can tell that he's fully vested in your learning and satisfaction. I'm planning on booking my first cooking lesson and private dinner very soon. Chef Lance you rock!!!!

Chef Lance was an absolute delight to work with. Coordinating and communicating with him was very easy, as he was willing to work with me on every step of the way for my private dinner with my wife. He built a manu completely around our preferences and executed it flawlessly. The food was unbelievably good, better than any restaurant in the area by a landslide, and his attention to detail, courtesy (i.e. taking his shoes off in the house, completely cleaning our kitchen after cooking), and easygoing, friendly personality made his services worth every penny. I would 100% book him again.

These are reasons he was superb: 1)His communication from the beginning re: availability + menu discussion was easy and seamless; 2) He arrived on time: with the highest quality ingredients, prepped and ready to go; 3)He was SO sweet with my family who wanted tips and tricks on cooking, plating , presentation etc; PLUS he would be equally formal , if that is what the event called for; 4) The FOOD!!! was beyond YUMMMMYYY, HEAVENLY, FRESH and at the end of the day that is KEY; 5) Overall this was a way of making memories and he hit it out of the ball park. ++Thank you, gracias, grazie, merci , Chef Lance.++ -Linda L, Garden City, NY

The menu was spectacular beginning with a Fettuccini Alfredo followed by a wonderful Greek Salad. The entree was over the top with 3 choices a prime rib, chicken marsala, and a baked cod. The entrees were complimented by Brussels sprouts with bacon and mashed potatoes. Then if that wasn't unbelievable enough he finished the evening with a fabulous carrot cake and chocolate mousse cake. Chef Lance is attentive to your needs, he helps you plan your evening many weeks in advance making sure it's exactly what you want. He makes you and your guests feel very special. We are planning many more dinners with Lance. We highly recommend him for your special dinners.
