What a fun place. Especially for group events. We all got to make our own oil for a soy candle and picked the jar and lid. It was a very meowgical day with my team and the ladies here are full of information.

The candles smell great and are clean ingredients. My team and I had a little binding time here and everyone loved choosing their jars and scents! Plus the employees are very friendly and helpful. Plus. Even if it sucked, they donate to shelter dogs so you're a monster for not going. Jk. It's a phenomenal gift idea and experience.

This place was amazing! The girls were super helpful and we had a blast celebrating a birthday. Such a cool place to have a party or just get creative with a friend. Can’t wait to go back!

I cannot say enough good things about Light + Bark! My girlfriends and I visited here to celebrate my birthday, and we had the BEST time! Jenni (the owner) and her team were SO incredibly sweet, helpful, and so accommodating! We had a group of 9 gals and they opened up early just to provide us with a private experience. They had tons of amazing scents to work with, and they made the experience so fun. If you’re looking for a fun activity, please don’t hesitate. Jenni also donates to dog shelters! We most definitely will be back!

Had the most unique and wonderful experience here! Jenni and her entire team were so helpful and kind as they walked us through the incredibly fun candle bar experience, and even went so far as to help us create beautiful custom labels to honor our family pup who had just passed away. Not only did we create the most beautifully smelling candles to take home, but the shop donates proceeds to doggos in need - what's not to love?! I cannot say enough great things about this sweet, local shop! ✨

Light + Bark is AMAZING! A group of us stopped in on a Saturday afternoon and were greeted by Jenni, the owner, who walked us through the candle making process in precise and clear detail. They have a great selection of scents to choose from and the cutest containers too! My boyfriend even made a candle once he saw the "Phoenix Open" scent. We love lighting our candles and telling our friends that WE made them, how fun! It's an added bonus that a portion of their proceeds are donated to the Maricopa County Animal Care & Control. We will definitely be back to make more candles with Jenni and her team. :)

This was such a great experience. The shop is clean and bright. So many scents and styles for your candles. The instructor was pleasant and extremely kind. Everything went absolutely great with our candle making experience.

Light+Bark is such a fun shop and experience! I own a local pet sitting business and bought candles for employees, clients, and myself a few times before I brought my team in for some bonding over personalized candle-making. We had te best time! It’s perfect for friends, families, couples, and then of course for teams. You get to smell each other’s chosen scents and pour your own wax while talking with each other and Jenni and her dog-loving team! Everyone thoroughly enjoyed it and I think it will be a recurring activity for everyone!

We went to Light + Bark for my bachelorette and had so much fun! Katie was so nice and helpful! Definitely a must do in old town.

Came to Light and Bark for our Christmas party and had the absolute best time! Jenni and Alice were such amazing hosts; attentive, friendly and super knowledgeable. There is such a great variety of scents that everyone left happy with what they created. If you are in AZ (local or visiting) its a definite "must do"!

Wonderful experience all around! After meeting the owner, Jenni, at a dog rescue function, I visited on two separate occasions with family members to pour my own candle with my selected oil blend into my selected jar. There were lots of scents to pick from, including many seasonal holiday scents. It took me forever to decide! I made reservations in advance, so our table and materials were ready to go when we arrived. But they accept walk-ins as well. When we arrived, one of the staff provided an overview of the process, then guided us along the way. After you're finished pouring, you leave your candle creation at the shop for 2 hours, until it sets enough for travel. There are plenty of restaurants and shops nearby, so lots to keep you busy that long. But plan accordingly. It was so easy! So fun! The staff were fantastic. You may even have the opportunity to meet one of the staff's furbabies 🥰 Great experience for couples, friends, families, professional team building, etc. Will definitely do it again!

As a small business owner myself, I know how important public reviews can be, so that's why I wanted to take a moment to give a big shout-out to Light and Bark Candle Co. I decided to host our team's Christmas party here this year, and it couldn't have been more enjoyable. The activity itself was relaxing and fun, but the kind Light and Bark team members really were the cherry on top. Thank you Light and Bark for a memorable get-together.

Space is so beautiful, staff is friendly, and it is so much fun to build your own candle.

A few friends and I went to try our hand at candle making. So many choices and it is so easy. My friends both made two candles and I made one. I strongly suggest you go try this. Much fun had by all and the ladies ladies helping are very good. Be warned you cannot light your candle for 1 week. Go Try This NOW!!

Had a great experience making our own candles for a friend’s birthday. Light and Bark made it special by making a birthday sign and making us feel so welcome! Loved the huge variety of scents to choose from and different vessels. We will be back for more. ❤️

I was so excited to get home and post this review. This was one of the COOLEST experiences ever! I took my mom for Mother’s Day and it just could not have been better. The owner is incredible, kind hearted, and really is passionate about her business. All of her employees love what they do and were so kind dealing with the mass of mothers and daughters and children! They have made the experience so easy, fun and simple. We had so much fun getting to pick our own scents and blends and create a candle! They really pulled out all of the stops for their customers and it was obvious they love what they’re doing. Also!! They donate a portion of their proceeds to a Maricopa County Shelter! Had absolutely zero problem spending my money here and will absolutely be back. Thank you for making my Moms Mother’s Day one to remember!

Beautiful idea to make candles and the different variation of the esencial oils are incredible. The service and ambience of the place is so peaceful and cute, they give part of the money to rescue dog place.

The candle making was so fun. It’s BYOB and they had everything you’d need to make a special candle. The staff was very friendly and willing to help you curate your scent. I also love their mission for dogs and makes this a place I want to keep coming back.

If you have any to do something different by creating the candles you want to smell throughout the house! The gals are amazing who run and assist you in creating that special scent for you!

This truly is a little hidden gem in Scottsdale! I took my fiancé here for a belated birthday date to make candles and it was one of the most fun dates we’ve had together! We absolutely love how involved the owner Jenni and her staff are with rescue dogs- as proceeds from her shop go to a variety of local dog rescues in AZ. It’s a very cute place to just kick back and have some creative fun! Plus you know you’re contributing to a great cause at the end of the day- and who doesn’t love helping dogs?! And again, thank you to all of the staff for being so genuine and helpful as we made our candles. Their patience and kindness went a long way in making this a fun date (and letting us sniff 50+ amazing oils for our candles lol.) Our candles make the whole house smell amazing- and we will definitely be back with friends, family, and each other to make more candles!

We visited from Memphis for a bachelorette trip and had an amazing time. The staff was so friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating. They genuinely care about your experience and I can tell candles and wonderful customer service are near and dear to their hearts. They have so many cute jars to choose to put your candle in and the scent options/possibilities are endless, they have something for literally everyone. It was a 10/10 experience and probably our favorite Bach trip excursion. If you’ve been thinking about visiting let this be your sign!

We visited from Indiana and had an GREAT time. The staff was so friendly and patient with all our questions. They truly make sure that we had an awesome time. They even shipped to us and they arrived in a week. The options were endless and how we can do this again in the future. If you have ever wanted to do this- then run Don't walk.

Came here for my mom’s birthday for something different to do. What a nice experience!! The staff is so welcoming & friendly. The scent selection is excellent. We loved our finish products and can’t wait to come back some time!

Favorite fall scents!

I took my mom here for her birthday and we had an amazing time! My mom makes candles at home in her free time, so she was able to ask our candle expert all the tips and tricks! There were tons of scent options, including Christmas smells with the holidays approaching! The whole experience took around an hour.

10/10 Recommend Light + Bark Candle Co. for any fun bachelorette/baby shower/birthday party activity. We went this past weekend for my "Final Fiesta" and it exceeded my expectations. My nieces (5 & 10) were able to join in the fun too. Adults and kids alike had so much fun smelling the scents to mix your own unique candle. The lady helping us was attentive but not intrusive. My best friend rented the private room and there were 14 or 15 of us and we all fit easily. L + B allowed my friend to bring in mimosas and breakfast treats as well. Afterwards we walked a short ways for brunch. By the time that was over the candles were ready to be picked up! (Need 2 hours to set). I was already extremely impressed with the day - but when I went to pick up the candles, they had packaged them all individually in the cutest little gift bags. I CANNOT recommend this enough. Absolutely MUST DO!!!
