Stateside Kitchen Is What Happens When Broadway Needs a Home Base
Stateside Kitchen sits a few steps off Broadway in downtown Nashville, and it was built for exactly the kind of night that starts with a reservation and ends with everyone still together three hours later. Hospitality veterans from the Hillstone Restaurant Group opened it in 2019 with a simple idea: an approachable American restaurant that could handle a big, loud, celebratory group without losing the food or the service. Between the group menus, the weekend DJ brunch, and free line dancing lessons on Friday and Saturday nights, it's less a place you stop by and more a place you plan around.
The One Nashville Bachelorette Stop That Doubles as Dinner and the Dance Floor
Every bachelorette itinerary hits the same wall around 8 p.m.: dinner reservation ends, and now someone has to herd ten women three blocks over to wherever the dancing is happening, phones out, group texts flying, half the group already peeling off toward a pedicab. Stateside Kitchen skips that whole negotiation. It's a full American dinner and a legitimate honky-tonk dance floor under one roof, a few steps off Broadway, which means the itinerary basically writes itself: eat, drink, dance, repeat.

Stateside Kitchen was an unexpected gem—one of those places you wander into on a whim and end up genuinely impressed. I was walking to a museum when I heard an awesome DJ spinning from inside, and that alone pulled me through the door. The vibe matched the music: upscale, sexy, and full of energy, the kind of atmosphere that makes you want to linger. I ordered a mimosa and a steak Caesar salad, and both hit the mark. The salad was hearty without being heavy, and the mimosa was bright and refreshing—simple, but done right. What really made the visit shine, though, was the service. The staff were friendly, attentive, and warm in a way that made the whole experience feel effortless. Stateside Kitchen is the kind of spot you stumble into once and immediately add to your mental list of places worth returning to. Great music, great mood, great people—an easy recommendation for anyone exploring downtown Nashville.
Did bottomless brunch here! Bella was FANTASTIC, accommodating and friendly! I would recommend to anyone! Amazing atmosphere with live DJ but not overwhelming and great food !!
I had an amazing time at Stateside Kitchen! The food was delicious, the atmosphere was lively and fun, and the music created the perfect brunch experience. It was the kind of place where you can relax, enjoy great food, and have an unforgettable time with friends. The service truly stood out, with attentive staff making sure everything was taken care of throughout the meal. From the welcoming hospitality to the energetic vibe, every part of the experience exceeded my expectations. Stateside Kitchen is a fantastic spot for brunch, and I can't wait to come back for another great experience.
Visited State Side Kitchen for their new summer menu launch and had such a great time! They had line dancing, a live DJ, amazing food, and such a fun atmosphere. The drinks were also incredible and definitely a highlight for me. Everything came together to create such a great experience, and I had an amazing time!
We had such a great experience here and really enjoyed everything from the food to the atmosphere. The drinks were excellent, and the overall vibe made the meal even more enjoyable. The crab dip was a standout—creamy, flavorful, and definitely worth trying. I ordered the short rib, and it was tender, delicious, and packed with rich flavor. Every part of the visit was enjoyable, and this is a place we’ll happily return to again
The DJ kept the music & atmosphere upbeat. If you like line dancing, you'll enjoy this place. The server was attentive & accommodating. The food was good. The valet brought me the wrong car but quickly corrected the mistake.
