Seven Reasons Group

Absolutely loved Seven Reasons! Everything was incredible — the Arepitas, Ceviche, and Steak Tartare were packed with flavor, and the Piña Colada was one of the best I’ve ever had. We finished with the Melting Cloud and guava cheesecake desserts, which were the perfect finale… fun, creative, and delicious. Beautiful atmosphere and great service. Definitely a must-visit in DC!

Great Venezuelan food (I’m not Venezuelan so grain of salt). Great music. Great service. Such a great spot to have a sit with your girls/man and eat and chat. The price is definitely not 100+ don’t let google stop you from coming.

The floor staff were all polite and friendly. Waiters knew the dishes well and could answer most questions without hesitation. We went as a party of four and went for the small plate options to share amongst us. From the gazpacho amuse bouche to the delightful desserts, it was a splendid taste experience. I recommend the Duck chaufa and Rice from the woods dishes. The Lamb lo mein was flavorful but too spicy for my weak palate. Even the bread basket was tasty, especially paired with the red beet hummus. The desserts were lovely and creative. The guava cheesecake was my favorite, but the chocolate banana bomb was also very good (though it does have a spicy sting to it). I would recommend this restaurant for couples or small groups and go for sharing the small plates. Everything we ordered was delicious.

The kind of place you go for more hands on service with a meal that is more focused on artistry and presentation than volume. That is not a bad thing when the meal overshadows the amount, shows the dedication of the chef and their craft. Great place to have an experience. Chicken mole was delectable.

We went for brunch and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. The food was really good and the service was excellent by David. The corn pancake was so good and fluffy, the arepas were delicious and we had the tres leches cake and that was by far my unexpected favorite ❤️

The butternut squash soup is INCREDIBLE. The flavor combos were super unique and every dish had stunning presentation making no course seem weak in my opinion. Hospitality and service were amazing. I dined here as part of a BILT dining experience but would happily pay to go back for restaurant week or a nice date night. The only notes I could say are the chips that came with the beet hummus were a little too thick, was worried I might break a tooth haha. And the layered potatoes that came w my duck were a smidge undercooked.

Excellent service and ambiance. The dishes were outstanding! We had the shishito peppers, bread basket, aligot croquette, black rice with chorizo and prawns, and the short rib. All highly recommended. Outstanding flavor, quality, and attention to detail. I will surely come back!

Fun cocktails and great food. A small plate concept with larger entree sized shareables. Portion control is definitely a bit on the small side. The service is absolutely outstanding.

A must try!! This dinner was so enjoyable and memorable. I must suggest the halibut and beef tartare as an appetizer followed by the braised short ribs (melt in your mouth). If you want something a little bit delicate smaller go with the Duck dilemma. Ladies, I must suggest the passion over perfection and tropical smoke. Gentlemen the Seven Reasons Old fashioned, was so smooth. The atmosphere was perfect. Hidden Gem, you must try.

We had an incredible dining experience at Seven Reasons. The meal started perfectly with a fresh bread basket and their selection of meze — the muhammara was especially outstanding. For mains, we tried the lamb lo mein, which was tender and flavorful with absolutely no strong lamb smell, and the chicken and shrimp roulade, which was just as impressive. The drinks were on point, and the ambiance, décor, and service all added to the charm of the evening. The only small note is that the portions are on the smaller side, but that’s expected for fine dining. Overall, a beautiful experience through and through.
