About the neighborhood

We are a bit out of town, 15 miles to be exact, so it is quiet and peaceful! All our guests drive into the property. There are local wine tour companies that will come out to pick up guests and return them to the cabin. Each company has its own offerings, services etc. We are happy to make suggestions!

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the check-in and check-out process?

Normal check in time is anytime at or after 3:00 PM. We can arrange check-in for anytime. Check-out is 11:00 AM. When you arrive, come down to the house, we will say hello, offer you a beverage and get y'all the key! If you are arriving late, we have lock boxes on the cabins. We can place the key in box and send you the code so you can get in, no problem! For Check out, you can come by and say good-bye or follow the instructions in the cabin to leave the key in the cabin when you leave.

How close are the wineries?

There are wineries as close as 10 miles away, with many others also within a short 25 mile drive. You'll find plenty of options for wine tasting and tours in the area.

Do the cabins have internet access?

No, our cabins are designed to help you disconnect and unwind, so we do not offer internet access. We encourage guests to enjoy the natural surroundings and the amenities we provide. We do have a single wireless modem we provide for a fee. There is only one and it is only able to be used in one cabin at a time. It creates a private network to be logged into.

Are there BBQ facilities?

Yes, each cabin has its own Weber BBQ grill for your use. Feel free to bring your favorite grilling items and enjoy a meal outdoors. We provide charcoal and lighter fluid for your convenience!

Are there hiking opportunities nearby?

Yes, Old Tunnel State Park offers great hiking trails and is located close by. Additionally, Enchanted Rock State Natural Area offers more extensive hiking, and is about 40 minutes away. A reservation is required to visit and hike Enchanted Rock.

Can we use the fire pit?

The fire pit is available for use with prior permission. However, please note that it cannot be used during a burn ban. We will inform you of any restrictions upon your arrival.

Is breakfast provided?

While we do not cook breakfast for our guests, we provide farm-fresh eggs, Canadian bacon, fresh locally roasted coffee, biscuit dough, and fresh fruit in each cabin. You can prepare your breakfast at your leisure in the comfort of your cabin. If you have special dietary needs, please let us know in advance, and we will do our best to accommodate them.

What kind of television service is available?

Each cabin is equipped with a television that receives local stations as well as a DVD player. We do not offer cable or satellite TV, allowing you to enjoy the simplicity and charm of the local broadcast. We also have quite a library of DVD's for you to enjoy at no additional cost.

Are pets allowed?

Yes, pets are welcome in five of our cabins with prior permission. We also provide treats for them to enjoy so they can feel like they are on holiday as well! Please contact us in advance to discuss any specific requirements or restrictions. We do charge an additional cleaning fee.

Can you help plan activities and special celebrations?

Yes, we can assist in planning activities or celebrations for your special event. We’re happy to help with recommendations for restaurants, activities, or transportation to make your occasion memorable.
