Located just one block off Fredericksburg’s charming West Main Street, Sweet Escape puts you steps from the heart of this beloved Hill Country town. Stroll to Main Street for local wine bars, restaurants, boutique shops, German bakeries, and weekend markets - or head just six blocks to Marketplatz, the city’s lively town square.
Whether you're exploring tasting rooms, hopping between live music spots, or joining a seasonal festival, this neighborhood has the perfect mix of small-town charm and big celebration energy.
Your best choice is to bring your own car, but contact us if you need to hire a ride from an airport. In town, there are Wine tour companies for larger groups or private cars depending on your needs.
1 block to Main St. and less than a mile to Marketplatz (center of town). There are shopping and restaurants on West and East Main St, with the center being Marketplatz (where festivals are held).
Sweet Escape is a private home on 2/3 acres. The pool, hot tub, yard, and fire pit are private. The pool can be heated to 88 degrees for an additional fee. City Quiet Hours of 10pm-7am must be observed.
We allow Bachelorette Parties and Wedding Parties up to the guest limit. The city prohibits events at homes. We do not allow rehearsal dinners, bachelorette parties or other events where additional guests are invited over the occupancy limit. The City of Fredericksburg passed a STRICT Noise Ordinance with Quiet Hours from 10pm-7am so ALL GUESTS must end outdoor activities at 10pm.
Private Transportation/ Wine Tour: This should be your 2nd Call after booking Sweet Escape! Contact Stephanie at 290 TX Tours for Transportation around town and for Wine Tours for up to 11 passengers. They provide snacks and water (Tasting fees paid at wineries) and charge by the hour for drivers (great Deal). Washington St. – one block south of Main St. This shuttle takes you to multiple wineries that are all only on 290.
Check is at 4 PM, and Check-out is at 11 AM. Ask for early check-in or later check-out 1 day before your stay, and the Host will let you know if it is available!
Please start the dishwasher and clean out your refrigerator items before you leave. If you use a pull-out couch, please strip the sheets so we know it was used. We are pleased to do the rest!
