Had a great three night stay at The Russell in room 2:6. Building is beautiful and in a great location in East Nashville. Nice and quiet. Far enough away from the craziness of Broadway, but close enough to be only a short and easy Lyft ride away. FREE on-site parking is a great feature. We loved the lobby, and the gift basket was very nice. We walked to dinner one night and had lots of options.

It was our 12th wedding anniversary and our first time in TN. This place was absolutely beautiful and peaceful, with top-quality amenities, Dyson blow dryers, plush robes, and the best-smelling soaps and shampoos. Every detail was so well thought out, from the snacks to the easy parking and clear directions. We felt completely safe and comfortable.We loved it so much we extended our stay another night. We were married in Turks and Caicos, and celebrating our anniversary here felt just as romantic and special. My husband told me I outdid myself finding this place, thanks to The Russell Hotel, that means many more years of marriage!Thank you for making our stay one of the best. We had a great overnight stay at the Russell. The building is BEAUTIFUL! The area is very walkable with several restaurants, cocktail bars, and entertainment venues a block away. The room was lovely and very comfortable. The champagne choice was excellent! Thank you so much for the welcome gift. We will definitely be returning!

Our third stay here was great. The spacious room on the back side of the old church building was quiet and charming, showing some of its old plastered brick walls and wood trusses. A quick, thorough & friendly text response helped us understand the workings of the mini-split HVAC Unit, solving our only issue during the stay. (It worked just fine!) The neighborhood is safe and walkable - 2 minutes to Sky Blue, our tiny new favorite breakfast spot - and 10 minutes by car from the Broadway attractions across the river. The Russell is a great value. We'll be back.

This was the perfect location for our staycation in East Nashville. It's an easy walk or quick Uber to bars, restaurants, and music venues. We especially loved the design of the hotel. The colors in our room matched the large stained-glass window of the church, and it was a gorgeous effect when we had our drapes open. Our room had all the amenities we needed (Goo Goo clusters!), with an ice machine right across the hallway. It was a quiet, easy stay. I am going to be recommending The Russell to my out of town friends who want something different than the downtown hustle.

What a fantastic stay! The place is gorgeous. The room (double queen) was huge with a great bathroom and terrific shower. Luggage lockers in the lobby were perfect since we arrived super early and wanted to explore the area. The location is great. 2-5 minute walk to grocery store, coffee shops, restaurants. Also very convenient to the bus line (only a $2 ride!) to take you downtown. The service and responsiveness from management was outstanding. Highly recommend The Russell.

Me and my sister stayed in the bunk bed room for her birthday. We had such a great stay and the room and decor were really fun. I stay in hotels about 15 days a month for my job and this was the cleanest room I’ve ever stayed in. Theres a refrigerator in the room and microwave on the floor. Neighborhood is beautiful with several walkable local businesses. Check in was easy and the free parking is almost unheard of. I will always stay here when visiting family Nashville. Great find!

We stayed at the Russell recently for a girl's weekend and thoroughly enjoyed it! The rooms are clean, stylish, and comfortable with amenities like a noise machine and fan/heater to make up for any noise or temperature issues due to the building. We were only a few minutes walk away from some great restaurants and bars and only a short drive into the more touristy areas of Nashville. The church building has some wonderful architecture and stained glass, making for a truly unique stay when you're visiting. Plus, a portion of your booking goes towards helping the homeless in the city. I will definitely stay here again if I come back to Nashville!

The Russell is a gem of a hotel! Situated in the middle of trendy east Nashville, there are tons of things to do and restaurants to visit within easy walking distance or a short Uber ride. The hotel is amazing- beautifully decorated (we were there just before Christmas), secure, and offers free parking. Our room was comfortable and clean, with all the amenities we needed. Pieces of the old church building are blended with modern artsy elements, making a very unique experience. We loved every second of our stay!

Had a great one night stay at The Russell. The building is beautiful and unique. Lobby/common area was very open, pretty, great for reading or meeting with others. Well lit but also cozy and quaint. My room itself; 1:4, was wonderful. Clean, great pillows, nicely laid out. Included a little snack basket which was very much appreciated. Very quiet room with no outside noise heard. After checkout I was able to utilize the luggage locker(s) in the lobby allowing me to investigate the neighborhood and grab lunch with friends before heading to the airport without towing my luggage around town with me. Wonderful benefit. I preferred staying at The Russell to a larger hotel. Much more my vibe. I look forward to returning on my next visit.
