Beautiful property!

the house was beautiful and spacious- there wasn’t a spot in the house that did not give you a beautiful view. close to all the local tourist spots for dinner, drinks, and hiking. beautiful home, would visit again.

My family and I had a wonderful time! This home is in such a beautiful setting. The host, Jason, was super fast to respond to questions. The hiking at the Great Smoky Mountain National Park was amazing. We also liked hanging out at nearby Wears Valley and exploring the shops. After long days hiking or visiting amusement parks, it was really nice to end the day with a dip in the indoor pool or hot tub!

Jason, Place is wonderful. Very comfortable n the views are beautiful when it snowed in there. Also it’s in great location. Quite n private area. Jason place has all amenities you need. Definitely planning on coming back soon

From the hosts communication, to the scenic drive (tons of homestead properties & farm animals), to the beautiful rolling hills, trees & vast mountain views from every room window and deck, it more than satisfied our luxury travel preference in the smoky mountains. For the aesthetic & interior design lovers, this cabin stay will win your heart. Top of the line appliances & very comfortable furniture & bedding. A rain or shine kind of experience. Doesn’t matter the weather, the cabin is the destination. 20 - 30 minutes from Pigeon Forge. Gatlinburg & Townsend. Highly recommend the Dancing Bear Bistro for brunch or dinner. We had an adventure zip lining with Legacy & skiing Ober Mountain. Family and friends reunion? Romantic getaway? Luxury wellness retreat? Corporate trip? With the elevated amenities, heated indoor pool / spa overlooking the mountains, & spacious indoor / outdoor living, this is THE place.

Great place it’s exactly like the photos

We had a fantastic stay and would absolutely come back. The home itself is incredible, with standout amenities that made the trip feel special. The huge deck offers amazing views, and we loved spending time in the indoor pool and the large hot tub. The lower outdoor space was another highlight, especially the fire pit and the swinging sofa, which was a hit with everyone. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed, from pots and pans to dishes and utensils, making it easy to cook and enjoy meals together. The entire home was very clean and well maintained, and having TVs throughout the house was a nice bonus. Jason was great to work with, very responsive and helpful. He quickly assisted us in getting a couple of small issues resolved during our stay, which we really appreciated. Overall, a great experience and a place we’d highly recommend.

Family enjoy home and kids love it

Great location, just a short drive from Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. Jason was able to accommodate our whole family which was over the listed number of acceptable guests. The home was very clean and well maintained. One hiccup was that the door to the patio seating area and artificial turf was broken and unable to be opened. We managed to get the door open and access the backyard area with some tools found on site. Jason was made aware and mentioned he was actively working on repair. All of the rooms were amazing which allowed everyone private space with their own bathroom! The pool and hot tub were a huge hit with the kids and adults too! Highly recommend this home for any family looking for great accommodations, private location, and accessibility to close by attractions.

We had a big group of kids and adults. We loved utilizing the indoor pool, outdoor space and big deck. The views were spectacular. Town is not far with a bunch of cute restaurants and shops. And the drive to the Great Smokey Mountains is not far either. Great location.

Jason was responsive to our requests and helpful throughout the entire process. We were traveling as a group of 4 families, attending a local event in the area, and this house was perfect for that!

This house was perfect for two families of 5! Both adult couples were able to stay in king size rooms upstairs and the kids had plenty of room in the downstairs bedrooms. The kids loved the indoor pool, hot tub the ping pong table. The adults loved relaxing on the large deck with views in the hot tub. The gas fire place that opens to the outside deck was perfect for toasting S’mores when we didn’t have time to build a wood burning fireplace on the lower exterior level. We loved our stay!! The sunsets were incredible!

Place was great! Will definitely be back again! Pool and hottub were amazing! Outdoor area with the tv and firepit was amazing! Porch was perfect for evenings spent cooking out and relaxing with a cigar. One of the best places we’ve stayed in for sure!

Our family had an amazing stay at Resting Eagle! This year's family vacation in the Smoky Mountains was everything we hoped for and more. The cabin was absolutely breathtaking, spacious, and provided plenty of room for everyone to relax, spend quality time together, and make lasting memories. Everything in the cabin worked perfectly, and it was clear that the property is well cared for. The host was outstanding, communicated proactively before our arrival, and provided a detailed guidebook that made check-in, check-out, and navigating the cabin incredibly easy. The views were beautiful, the atmosphere was peaceful, and the cabin truly felt like a home away from home. We couldn't have asked for a better place to reconnect with family. We highly recommend Resting Eagle to anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable Smoky Mountain getaway, and we would absolutely stay here again!

We had a fantastic stay and would absolutely recommend this property to anyone visiting the area. The home is beautiful, impeccably decorated, and incredibly well maintained. The location was perfect—peaceful, private, and surrounded by beautiful scenery, making it a great place to relax while still being close to everything we wanted to do. The host was very responsive and easy to communicate with throughout our stay. Honestly, it’s hard to find anything to complain about. Our only suggestion would be to add dressers to the bedrooms. Since we stayed for a week, it would have been nice to have somewhere to unpack our clothes instead of living out of our suitcases. Other than that small detail, everything was excellent, and we would gladly stay here again!

We had a great time. Jason was great to work with and easy to communicate with. House has amazing views from the deck and hottub. The home was well equipped with towels and kitchen pots and pans. Location is very private and close to pigeon forge and Dollywood. My kids loved the indoor pool and games that Jason has. We will be back.

Awesome place. Beautiful view with sunset each evening over the mountains and farms down in the valley below. High end place that matches the photos. Very nice amenities, comfortable beds. Spacious place that is very well appointed. The indoor pool is very nice and great view out of the back windows from there. Outdoor entertainment area by fire pit is nice, even a rotating tv down there to catch the ncaa final four. Expansive deck with nice grill/gasline to it, nice seating. Highly recommend!

Beautiful location the house itself is easy to enjoy. It definitely made the trip nice. We got snow, so just wanted to enjoy staying in those days and with this house It definitely gave us plenty to stay in and enjoy. This made our trip very nice.

Our family had a wonderful stay at Jason's place! The house was stunning and the outdoor amenities really added to our vacation. Everything about the house was perfect for our Smoky Mountains National Park visit.

We had a wonderful week with family at Resting Eagle. The house was beautifully put together, and we enjoyed the mountain views as well as the wildlife out back (deer & a bear!). We enjoyed the peace & quiet of being in the mountains yet close enough to easily get to attractions for the littles to keep them busy! Favorites included Anakeesta, the aquarium and Dollywood. Our first visit to the Smoky Mountains, and won't be our last!

This house was as beautiful as pictured. When they say it can fit 12 people it can fit that very comfortably with two living rooms a massive deck that is way bigger then in the photos and the down low pergola and fire pit seating area.

This is an amazing house and perfect for our family.Jason communicated quickly and was responsive to any minor needs we had. Just some of the things we loved and appreciated in a vacation rental: - the extra large hot tub that fit 11 of us... with gorgeous views - the indoor pool was beautiful and cool when it was raining out - large kitchen table and multiple outdoor seating areas for eating, games, chilling by hot tub-tons of nice bath towels and pool towels-quality ping pong table (kids and adults used this every day multiple times and enjoyed some healthy competition!)-well stocked kitchen, lots of quality pots/ pans/ spices. -plenty of mugs, glasses, dish ware, plastic ware, storage containers, wine glasses!-cute coffee station with flavored syrups-comfy living room furniture (and play room downstairs also had nice comfy seating!)- TVs everywhere- super comfy outdoor swing and nice seating area with firepit (wish we got to use this more!)- amazing, powerful fans in the bedrooms (and the bathroom fans also work incredibly well even after a nice, steamy shower-good shower pressure-modern and clean decor-comfy mattresses-kids room is awesome!!!! Maybe the most unique feature. Double King bunks allowed 2 kids to share each bed comfortably with no one touching or fighting!!-indoor/ outdoor fireplace a nice touch -beautiful landscapingMuch appreciated: Host's attentiveness and responsiveness!

This property is nothing short of extraordinary — a must-book rental. We will absolutely be back and cannot recommend it enough! The home itself is superbly designed down to every last finish — rustic luxury nestled in the most peaceful surroundings. It was the ideal setting to celebrate my husband’s 40th birthday with our closest friends. There is so much to enjoy right at the house, while still being conveniently close to everything you could need. The host, Jason, clearly puts great care and attention into ensuring guests have a fantastic stay. An incredible experience all around!

We could not have been more thrilled with our stay! Jason was super responsive to all messages prior to and during our stay and our group felt very well cared for. The house is stunning! It’s lay out is perfect for multiple families or large groups, everyone has their own space and the gathering areas are cozy with so much natural light and great views to the enormous and beautiful pool area in the backyard. The kitchen was a dream - everything you could possibly need to cook and enjoy a nice meal on vacation. The beds were extremely comfortable and the house was exceptionally clean. We would book again in a heartbeat!!!
