Wonderful "staycation" for my son's 15th birthday. Enjoyed the heated pool warm jacuzzi and ocean front fire pit! Also the perfect spot to wake up early and go surfing! The staff went above and beyond during our stay and let us park later in the lot since we were having a party on the beach and free bike rentals. Whether you are a tourist or a native this hotel is perfect!

I was really happy with my stay over Christmas vacation 2025. Very nice room, great shower, and most importantly, comfortable beds and pillows. and you literally walk across the sidewalk from the pool access door and you're on the beach. Don't forget to walk across the parking lot to "World Famous" and have awesome food any time of the day.

I swear no matter when we go to San Diego it's ALWAYS literally picture perfect weather. We thought it was going to be rainy and cold and when we got there we were happy to once again have perfect weather. Good thing we stayed at our favorite San Diego hotel, the Wayfarer, so we could take advantage of the sunshine and sunsets on the beach. We are well always taken care of by the great staff at the Wayfarer and would highly recommend!!

Booked a last minute layover trip after a business conference. Definitely a treat for myself and spouse. Felt like we had the whole property to ourselves. Room even smelled like the beach. No noise or No heavy traffic and found free street parking. Didn’t realize how much I needed this staycation with beautiful sunset views of the ocean. I promised myself I would be back at least annually when I need to recharge my battery. Great way to end the 2025 year.

The Wayfarer is right on the beach in the middle of the Pacific Beach area. Tons of restaurants and shops within walking distance, off street parking, pool and hot tub. The hotel feels quaint and friendly and the staff were excellent. Rooms clean, beds comfortable, and I would stay there again.

The Wayfarer Hotel certainly exceeded my expectations with a comfortable, clean, quiet guest room with spectacular views of the ocean. The pool, hot tub and firepit areas provided a wonderful place to relax outdoors. The hotel location was within walking distance to a large variety of shops and restaurants just steps from the boardwalk and beach. Fun to watch the surfers from my hotel balcony, and fall asleep to the sound of crashing waves. Thank you Blais and Team for a wonderful stay!!! See you next year!

Location is tough to beat. In the heart of PB on the boardwalk with a heated pool and hot tub. Parking on site makes staying here a breeze. There was daily room cleaning which was also nice, staff was very friendly and helpful. We will be making this our go to spot for SD vacations. The proximity to the beach and boardwalk is unmatched and the reason we visit San Diego.

I had a lovely stay! We had a room with an oceanfront balcony. We chatted with people walking on the boardwalk, and the views were spectacular. The room was cozy and the housekeepers worked around our schedule. The area of town is very lively, there is energy almost every day of the week. The recreational opportunities are numerous, and access to the beach couldn't be more convenient. The poolside was relaxed. It had a rinse off shower for sand and many lounging areas, each with a qr code to order from Zephyr Cafe. The hot tub really hit the spot after a morning of surfing.

We booked the Wayfarer to be close to the beaches in San Diego and this hotel did not disappoint. The hotel is close to everything you'll want to visit in coastal San Diego: restaurants, surfing, Mission Bay, LaJolla, the list goes on. Yet, when it's time to sleep at the end of a busy day, our room was peace and quiet. Leave the sliding window open a touch and you'll be sung to sleep by the sound of the waves. The hotel premises themselves are kept up very well inside and out, especially considering that the property is located right on the beach close to salty air. Parking was never a problem. The pool is very pretty and a pleasure to hang out at. You'll meet a lot of nice people here starting with the staff. Everyone at the front desk is extremely cordial and professional, exuding a lovely attitude. The cleaning and maintenance staff are very happy and went out of their way to help us. We can hardly wait to come back!

I stayed at The Wayfarer for 4 nights in a king oceanfront room with sofa bed on the 3rd floor. I was very happy to be on the 3rd floor as the view was perfect and I didn't have to worry about anyone being able to see into my room. The hot tub is small but it was the perfect temp and although I didn't try the pool, plenty of other people seemed to enjoy it. Special thanks to Blais for making check in fast and easy and going the extra mile for me since I was celebrating my birthday. I appreciated her kindness very much and she gave great recommendations for lunch when I first arrived. There are plenty of restaurants with great views nearby. Try Baja Beach Cafe if you want a margarita and Woody's for breakfast (the pancakes were perfect!). The waterbar is a bit further of a walk but their calamari was perfectly cooked. World Famous is right next door so I ate there twice, the food was good, but the service is a bit lacking. Overall, I'm planning to come back for gray whale season and I know where I'm staying!

Whether we were strolling along the shore or enjoying the local attractions, we always looked forward to returning to the hotel. Just spent 5 days and 4 nights here! You can’t beat the location. Literally on the beach! Our oceanfront room did not disappoint. We had a nice little patio with seating and nothing but ocean in front of us. Our room was nice. The bed was exceptional! Mini fridge and microwave in the room was a bonus. The pool has the same great oceanfront views with plenty of seating and a fire pit, as well as direct access to the boardwalk/beach! And let’s talk about the location…you can’t beat park your car and never leave! There is plenty to eat and do right in walking distance! Would definitely stay there again!!!
