What you'll do:
Turn your furry (or feathered!) friend into a frame-worthy work of art in this fun and beginner-friendly watercolor class led by local artist Alexandra Schmeling.
Alex will start by creating a custom outline of your pet, then guide you step-by-step as you bring your portrait to life with vibrant watercolor techniques. Whether you're new to painting or just love your pet, you’ll leave with a personalized masterpiece—and the skills to keep creating at home.

You're welcome to bring in your own drinks and decorations.

How do we get to Made in ALX?
You can take the Metro to King Street in Alexandria, then hop on the FREE King Street Trolley (fun photo ops!) down King Street to Made in ALX. The Dash Bus is also free. Or, you can drive and park in the inexpensive garage directly underneath our building. Made in ALX is at 415 King St., Alexandria, VA 22314.
What is the minimum number of people for a private event?
We ask that you have at least 5 people to book a private event with us. If you have fewer than 5 people attending, there may be an additional booking fee OR you can register for one of our regular classes through our website — we have different options every weekend!
When is your space available for private events?
We're open to private events just about anytime from 9 a.m. - 9 p.m. both weekdays and weekends! Please get in touch with us to book a time.
What's close to Made in ALX?
We are directly across the street from The Alexandrian hotel and just a block away from the Alexandria Visitor's Center. There's a wide variety of restaurants, bars and boutique shops just steps from our front door, and we're happy to provide recommendations for your events.
