What you'll do:
Our art and wellness events are designed specifically for your group and focus on the power of art as a tool to improve mental health. We offer vision boarding, painting and meditation workshops, and more. Each session is designed with the intention and science behind stress reduction, productivity enhancement, and the skills needed to cultivate a balanced mind and body.
Wellness offerings:
Reflect on the Past: Memory Shadow Boxes: This session begins with a guided meditation, during which guests reflect on positive memories and gratitude, which they are encouraged to channel into their shadow boxes. Guests use mixed media supplies and expressive journal entries to express the memories they are grateful for. This workshop is an excellent opportunity for guests to get to know one another and kick off a routine of expressing gratitude, a proven tool to improve mental health.
Embrace the Present: Meditate & Paint: This session begins with a calming meditation to ground and center the mind, after which guests are encouraged to channel their internal experience into abstract art. Participants are encouraged to focus on one small aspect of their day or mood that brings them joy. This session encourages free play, self-reflection, and creative expression.
Embrace the Present: Open Air Painting: This session focuses on taking time to notice small sensations and moments of beauty in nature. Participants are encouraged to focus on one small aspect of nature that brings them joy that day. Our instructors guide the group in transforming that source of joy into a watercolor painting, which serves as a daily reminder to find beauty in life’s small moments. Guests are encouraged to develop the skills they learn into a regular practice.
Envision your Future: Vision Boarding: Guests will use collage materials, vintage Life magazines, and a mini picture printer to create a vision board that visually brings their goals and dreams to life under the guidance of professional artists. The session delves into the science behind vision boards, explaining how visualization activates the brain's motor cortex and the Reticular Activating System to help you notice opportunities aligned with your aspirations. Emphasizing positive thinking and clear goal-setting, the activity is designed to boost focus, motivation, and ultimately pave the way for success.
