My daughter was reapplying to colleges and worked privately with Emma on some sewing projects for her portfolio. Emma is so professional , patient as well as kind. The assistant and receptionist are so sweet and helpful. She attended The Westside location and what an adorable well organized place. Although I heard the Upper east side is fantastic as well ! Highly recommend😊

Couldn’t recommend this more highly! I had a private lesson with Daphne and loved every minute. She was such a great instructor and helped me go from knowing absolutely nothing about sewing, to learning how to load and use the machine, practice different stitches and techniques, and making my own tote bag! I immediately booked a second lesson!

I had such a wonderful experience with The Fashion Class! I planned a private event for my team of Day Of Coordinators to refresh our sewing skills so we are prepared in any fashion emergency on a wedding day. We were guided for two hours by one of TFC's fabulous instructors and came away from the evening with improved capabilities and new skills. We were able to bring in pizza and wine so it was not only a productive evening for my team, but such a fun team bonding night as well. Highly recommend for any time of fun party or team event!

I’ve now taken my second adult private sewing machine lesson at the UWS location (Broadway and W88th) with the amazingly talented, creative, and patient Cecilia and will keep coming back to learn more every week as long as I can! I can’t say enough about the level of attention and care…in just two lessons I *made* this cropped kimono-style top out of one yard of fabric with Cecilia’s guidance and went from absolute beginner to feeling more comfortable with the sewing machine! Also the store is LOVELY and relaxing and bright and cheerful and enjoying complimentary coffee and great music while working on creative fashion projects with an awesome teacher is my idea of heaven! If you are thinking about it…book one! I started with making a tote bag, which was great. This is such a great creative outlet especially when we get too caught up in the busyness of life to make time to pursue new creative skills. And the space for kids is also amazing: my daughters will love coming here too!

Amazing private lesson - I took a one-on-one lesson to learn how to use a sewing machine (I’d never even touched one before), and I’m so glad I did. The instructor was thorough, patient, and kind, and I now can confidently do basic stitching on a sewing machine. The lesson was an incredible deal for how much I learned. Would 10/10 recommend for anyone looking to kick off their sewing hobby!
