What a fun place! We loved smelling all the different candle oils and making our own candles. So fun, and the staff was helpful and amazing!

What a fun place to enjoy the day and celebrating birthdays. The staff were so friendly the assistant who helped us step-by-step on how to make our candle. We got to choose the scent we wanted and The wax is soy based so it’s pet friendly. It’s an hour long class and we literally took our time and enjoyed every minute of making a candle. A beautiful memory for our friends celebration.

This was such a fun activity! The shop is so cute and the employees were very friendly- I took my friend for her birthday and they even had a sign to welcome and greet us! I loved putting the scents together and can't wait to burn my candle. Thanks so much!

There is such a great variety of scents that everyone left happy with what they created. If you are in AZ (local or visiting) its a definite "must do"!

Cute little store, and wonderful customer service by Katie! We booked our time for my DIL's bday, they had a little sign set up that said Happy Birthday in our table, it was a sweet touch especially since we were only a parry of 3. The customization of the candle scent was super fun and they had every detailed scent you could imagine, and we all 3 left with a unique scent...only down side is waiting the 7 days that they recommend waiting to burn it!

Light + Bark is AMAZING! A group of us stopped in on a Saturday afternoon and were greeted by Jenni, the owner, who walked us through the candle making process in precise and clear detail. They have a great selection of scents to choose from and the cutest containers too! My boyfriend even made a candle once he saw the "Phoenix Open" scent. We love lighting our candles and telling our friends that WE made them, how fun! It's an added bonus that a portion of their proceeds are donated to the Maricopa County Animal Care & Control. We will definitely be back to make more candles with Jenni and her team. :)

Space is so beautiful, staff is friendly, and it is so much fun to build your own candle.

We visited from Indiana and had an GREAT time. The staff was so friendly and patient with all our questions. They truly make sure that we had an awesome time. They even shipped to us and they arrived in a week. The options were endless and how we can do this again in the future. If you have ever wanted to do this- then run Don't walk.

I took my mom here for her birthday and we had an amazing time! My mom makes candles at home in her free time, so she was able to ask our candle expert all the tips and tricks! There were tons of scent options, including Christmas smells with the holidays approaching! The whole experience took around an hour.

We found out about Light & Bark when they hosted an event for one of the Animal Rescues we volunteer at. We have now gone to their store to make candles twice and love it. The staff is super kind and helpful, the gifts they have are unique and the candles you make there are great! With the mission they have to serve animals it’s a must to grab some friends and family and go make some candles!

A few friends and I went to try our hand at candle making. So many choices and it is so easy. My friends both made two candles and I made one. I strongly suggest you go try this. Much fun had by all and the ladies ladies helping are very good. Be warned you cannot light your candle for 1 week. Go Try This NOW!!

We had such a great time today making candles! There were so many fragrances to choose from, which made it really fun to create our own custom scent. Lily was incredibly kind, attentive, and so helpful throughout the whole process. She made the experience easy, enjoyable, and relaxing. I first came to learn of Light + Bark at an employee appreciation event through work. I really loved the candle I made and was curious about making another. My boyfriend and I came to their store in Old Town Scottsdale to make candles to celebrate our anniversary and it couldn’t have been a better experience. Vicki attended us, and was incredibly kind, attentive, and helpful in helping create our respective scents. It was such a lovely time and I look forward to bringing my family as well. We recently came to Light + Bark as part of a bachelorette weekend, and it was absolutely incredible! Such an incredible experience and honestly not what I was expecting. The process involved selecting different scents and curating blends. The overall selection was from a wide variety ranging from earthy to fruity. I settled on Arizona Campfires 🔥 (what I was calling it) which was a blend of marshmallow, redwood, smoke and prickly pear. So cool.. Their mission is to help support shelter dogs 🐶 so sweet 🥹 ❤️

We stumbled upon Light + Bark walking in Old Scottsdale and we are so glad we did. As soon as we walked in Kathy was so welcoming and throughout the whole process of the candle making she was patient and was amazing walking us through the whole process. We had such an amazing time and know if we were local we would come back for sure.

10/10 Recommend Light + Bark Candle Co. for any fun bachelorette/baby shower/birthday party activity. We went this past weekend for my "Final Fiesta" and it exceeded my expectations. My nieces (5 & 10) were able to join in the fun too. Adults and kids alike had so much fun smelling the scents to mix your own unique candle. The lady helping us was attentive but not intrusive. My best friend rented the private room and there were 14 or 15 of us and we all fit easily. L + B allowed my friend to bring in mimosas and breakfast treats as well. Afterwards we walked a short ways for brunch. By the time that was over the candles were ready to be picked up! (Need 2 hours to set). I was already extremely impressed with the day - but when I went to pick up the candles, they had packaged them all individually in the cutest little gift bags. I CANNOT recommend this enough. Absolutely MUST DO!!!

Light+Bark is such a fun shop and experience! I own a local pet sitting business and bought candles for employees, clients, and myself a few times before I brought my team in for some bonding over personalized candle-making. We had te best time! It’s perfect for friends, families, couples, and then of course for teams. You get to smell each other’s chosen scents and pour your own wax while talking with each other and Jenni and her dog-loving team! Everyone thoroughly enjoyed it and I think it will be a recurring activity for everyone!

I was at an event for Almost There Rescue and I saw their booth set up in the lobby. First, the person at the booth was so sweet. I bought 2 candles and 2 wine glasses. The candles smell SOOOO good. I got the coffee and bourbon for me and the simmer pot for my MIL. Welllll I'm going to have to get her something else because I need both candles for my own home lol. I burned one for about 2 hours while working from home, and my office still smells good. I even get little wafts from the hallway when I walk by. Part of my purchase went to fund the rescue efforts, which is always a plus for me. They have a lot of other really cute things for animal lovers too! Definitely looking into their available team building events for the company I work for.

I haven’t been to the location yet but I spoke with the owner at two events, such great energy. The first time was before her store opened and the second was at a pet adoption event today. My first candle lasted forever and was a really fantastic smell. I’m so excited for my new candles! & looking forward to experiencing her classes with some girl friends.

We visited from Memphis for a bachelorette trip and had an amazing time. The staff was so friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating. They genuinely care about your experience and I can tell candles and wonderful customer service are near and dear to their hearts. They have so many cute jars to choose to put your candle in and the scent options/possibilities are endless, they have something for literally everyone. It was a 10/10 experience and probably our favorite Bach trip excursion. If you’ve been thinking about visiting let this be your sign!

This was such a great experience. The shop is clean and bright. So many scents and styles for your candles. The instructor was pleasant and extremely kind. Everything went absolutely great with our candle making experience.

I had the pleasure of meeting the owners of the shop a couple weeks ago. I had reached out because I wanted a signature candle for my business. The owners were incredible. They were professional, knowledgeable, and most importantly they were fun. They understood what I was looking for an executed the samples perfectly. I could not be happier with the end result and looking forward to placing my bulk orders soon. They have the perfect product for client gifts, so if your a small business owner and want something local and meaningful, give them a call. You won't regret it.

I was so excited to get home and post this review. This was one of the COOLEST experiences ever! I took my mom for Mother’s Day and it just could not have been better. The owner is incredible, kind hearted, and really is passionate about her business. All of her employees love what they do and were so kind dealing with the mass of mothers and daughters and children! They have made the experience so easy, fun and simple. We had so much fun getting to pick our own scents and blends and create a candle! They really pulled out all of the stops for their customers and it was obvious they love what they’re doing. Also!! I cannot say enough good things about Light + Bark! My girlfriends and I visited here to celebrate my birthday, and we had the BEST time! Jenni (the owner) and her team were SO incredibly sweet, helpful, and so accommodating! We had a group of 9 gals and they opened up early just to provide us with a private experience. This truly is a little hidden gem in Scottsdale! I took my fiancé here for a belated birthday date to make candles and it was one of the most fun dates we’ve had together! We absolutely love how involved the owner Jenni and her staff are with rescue dogs- as proceeds from her shop go to a variety of local dog rescues in AZ. It’s a very cute place to just kick back and have some creative fun! Plus you know you’re contributing to a great cause at the end of the day- and who doesn’t love helping dogs?! And again, thank you to all of the staff for being so genuine and helpful as we made our candles. Their patience and kindness went a long way in making this a fun date (and letting us sniff 50+ amazing oils for our candles lol.) Our candles make the whole house smell amazing- and we will definitely be back with friends, family, and each other to make more candles!

I visited Light + Bark a couple of years ago during a company team-building event. We had so much fun making different candles and comparing scents. The Light + Bark team did such a great job of leading us through the process and making it engaging. Here's the part that REALLY made me appreciate this company: To be honest - the candle I created was an odd combination of scents. I put things together that reminded me of my grandparents farm - vanilla for my grandmother's baking, peace pipe for my grandfather's tobacco pipe, fresh garden dirt because they were farmers and always had a big garden in the summer. Then I balanced it out with a floral scent - fig leaves. It actually turned out so beautiful and smells so fresh and wonderful with hints of my childhood! I took it home and over the last few years I have sparingly burnt my candle every now and then. It is almost gone - but luckily I recently had another trip to Scottsdale for work and decided to stop in and see if there was any hope at all of recreating what has now become a sentimental scent to me! Not only were the staff SO helpful in finding my scents again (They still had them all!) but they were actually able to find my record in their system and had saved my recipe and the quantities of each scent I had used on file! I was able to pick out a new candle jar and pay in advance - and the team sent me a recreation of my original candle. IT SMELLS EXACTLY THE SAME. I love it so much. The staff also informed me that I could call them to re-order at any time. Even better: It was mixed, poured, and shipped to me so fast that I was confused as to what package I had received until I looked at where it came from! I had not been expecting it that soon. Overall: Excellent business. Excellent staff. Excellent candles. I also love their passion for animal welfare as a proud pet parent of 2 adopted pups, myself. If I could give this small business 10 stars, I would. Thank you Light + Bark! I'm sure I'll be ordering more from you in the future.

Randomly walked by this store while on a bachelorette trip and so glad we decided to go in! Jenni, the store owner, is so sweet and intentional with all of her work. She and her two helpers, Bri and Vicki did a great job taking us through the candle making process. Wonderful experience all around! After meeting the owner, Jenni, at a dog rescue function, I visited on two separate occasions with family members to pour my own candle with my selected oil blend into my selected jar. There were lots of scents to pick from, including many seasonal holiday scents. It took me forever to decide! I made reservations in advance, so our table and materials were ready to go when we arrived. But they accept walk-ins as well. When we arrived, one of the staff provided an overview of the process, then guided us along the way. After you're finished pouring, you leave your candle creation at the shop for 2 hours, until it sets enough for travel. There are plenty of restaurants and shops nearby, so lots to keep you busy that long. But plan accordingly. It was so easy! So fun! The staff were fantastic. You may even have the opportunity to meet one of the staff's furbabies 🥰 Great experience for couples, friends, families, professional team building, etc. Will definitely do it again!

This was our first time here and we loved it! I really like that they use nontoxic oils and 100% soy wax. There are so many different scents to choose from and you also get to customize your candle jar/lid. If you’re looking for something fun and different to do I would recommend checking it out. I also like that they donate some of the proceeds to help shelters and rescue dogs

Great location near other shopping and dining options. Resident pup made the enviroment all the more inviting. Table was set up for your party and the staff was very polite and informative of the steps to take for making out candles. Very straight foward and easy sysyem. Great conversation and chill enviroment. Would go again. If you bring your previous jar for a refill you get a little discount. They have premade candles as well and some other items like stickers, dish towels, dog toys, etc.
