Sailing catamarans have more room to party! We can tailor the best adventure for your crew with access to Coronado, Downtown Waterfront, Point Loma and plenty of party coves and swimming holes with an emphasis on true motors off sailing!

Since 2011 Funcat Sailing has been hosting the "highlight of our bachelorette party weekend in San Diego" Drawing form 37 years of charter experience in San Diego Bay we have imported spacious carribean style cruising catamarans from Flordia (and sailed through the Panama Canal) to offer an ideal day sailing and swimming experience on San Diego Bay. As lifelong sailors with high standard for care we have selected the friendly experienced sailing captains ready to keep the party going.

Additional information:

  • Gratuity to your awesome captain is customary. Captains accept cash, card and e-pay.
  • We have bathrooms on board with flushing toilets and room to change
  • We love sailing barefoot, slip on footwear is ideal.
  • For swimming please bring Towel and swimsuits, sunscreen
  • Occasionally it can get cool on the water, dress in layers and bring pants and sweatshirt in a bag.
  • Coolers, bags, suitcases etc are welcome aboard, we have plenty of space to stow them!
  • You are welcome to decorate! Please contact us to coordinate
  • Dogs are often welcome. Please call to discuss.

  • 3 hour Private Sailing Catamaran Bareboat charter on Tigress for 7-12 guests

    Bareboat Charter for 6-12 guests. 3 hours

    To keep it 100 with the coast guard we adhere to Bareboat regulations, but don't stress, we make it simple:

    • You are hiring our "bare boat" Tigress Catamaran meaning the captain is hired and paid separately from the boat and you can bring any food or beverages you like
    • Captains are $50 an hour paid directly to the captain the day of your trip
      • I would like a USCG licensed captain available to hire when I arrive at the dock. 
      • If you wish to provide your own USCG licensed 50 ton + captain please send us their credentials prior to departure.
    •  If you select option 2 please contact me after booking, if not we will default to option 1 with nothing needed from you.
