What you'll do:
Paddle out onto the lake after dark for a glowing full moon paddle surrounded by illuminated boards, moonlit water, and a one-of-a-kind nighttime atmosphere. This beginner-friendly experience is all about good vibes on the water, with themed moments, fun surprises, and food and drinks available throughout the evening.
All equipment is included, so you can simply show up, get set up by our crew, and head out onto the lake for a magical night under the moon.
June’s Strawberry Moon sets the tone for our Strawberry Splash Soirée, a sweet summer celebration on the water. Think strawberry-inspired treats, festive touches, and a playful early-summer vibe as you paddle under the glowing moonlight. Dress in your favorite pinks, reds, or strawberry-themed outfits and get ready for a fun, memorable night on the lake.

Additional information:
Food and drinks will be available during the event.
Please bring a towel, a water bottle, and a bathing suit or clothes you don’t mind getting a little wet.
We recommend bringing a light jacket or layer, as it can cool down once the sun sets.
Arrive 15 minutes early to check in and get fitted with your equipment.
All paddle equipment is included, and our staff will help get you set up before heading out on the water.
BYOBoard tickets are available if you’d prefer to bring and use your own paddleboard.
This experience is beginner-friendly, and no prior paddleboarding experience is required.
Costumes are encouraged for themed nights to make the evening even more fun.

Park entry fee
Please plan on a park entry fee of $11/vehicle. Season passes are also available!
Can my pup paddle too?
Pups are encouraged to join the adventure! Bring your four-legged first mate on any of our watercraft and let them enjoy the ride (just don’t let them steer!) If they need a little extra safety, we’ve got dog lifejackets available on a first-come, first-served basis.
When nature calls…
Restrooms are conveniently located in three spots on the west side of the park (because sometimes, nature calls before you hit the water!)
What if i am running late?
We will always try to rebook you at a later time, depending on availability. We understand that life happens, and we may be able to offer a raincheck as well.
What kind of weather would cause a cancellation?
Safety is our top priority! A couple of quick rules: If there’s lightning nearby (or on the way) or if winds hit 15+ MPH, it’s a no-go. Since Colorado’s weather changes fast, we do 30-minute weather holds and reassess after that. We’ll always keep you in the loop!

What if there is bad weather?
We totally get that the weather can be unpredictable! If the conditions aren’t great, we’re happy to reschedule or hook you up with a raincheck to use anytime. Just a heads-up—park entrance fees might not be refundable, so keep an eye on your email for updates. Not sure? Shoot us an email or give us a call!
Can I bring my dog?
Dogs are welcome at Cherry Creek, Bear Creek, and Union Reservoir as long as they are on a leash! Feel free to bring your dog to Boulder after Labor Day
Can I bring my kids?
Kids are welcome! We have life jackets and paddles suitable for all ages. - Ages 2-5 MUST be on a board with their parent. - Ages 6-11 may have their own board, but a parent MUST be with them on the water. - Ages 12-17 can have their own board and paddle freely with or without a parent. They MUST have a signed waiver from a parent or legal guardian. Family members and friends do not count!
Are there weight limits?
Our canoes and tandem kayaks have a weight capacity of 500lbs. Our single kayaks have a 300lbs capacity, and our paddleboards float 250lbs.
Can I bring my own paddleboard?
Yes! All of our reservoirs allow you to bring your own boards. There are daily use permits at all locations except Boulder, which requires a full season pass purchased in advance (These typically sell out before May).
Can I bring alcohol?
Alcohol is allowed at Bear, Cherry Creek, and Boulder Glass containers and hard liquor are not allowed There is no alcohol allowed at Union Reservoir
How is the water quality?
The water quality in our reservoirs is typically outstanding. We will inform you if there is any significant drop in water quality. Feel free to reach out if you’d like to double-check.
Do you have lockers?
We do not have lockers at any of our locations. We do rent dry bags if you’d like to take any phones or keys with you. We can hold your keys at the shop if you’d like to!
Are there changing rooms?
There are changing rooms/bathroom facilities within a short walk of all of our paddle shops.
