Dear Monaxi, I’m writing to you with my heart open, and filled with love and purpose. I had the unique pleasure of participating in both of your performances at the Chi Temple during Boom festival two weeks ago. Going in, I did not know what to expect. One of my friends circled your performance on the program, and we blindly followed. If only we knew what we were signing up for. The experience was beyond anything I ever imagined. During the Sacred Sound Journey, we went from sitting and relaxing on the carpets, to 5 minutes later holding hands and embracing one another, and a few minutes later we were dancing shirtless, filled with love, passion, and energy. You touched my heart in ways I did not know were possible. You allowed me to get in touch with my inner self, to open my heart, my soul, and my mind to the universe. You guided me to a place in my heart I forgot existed, you helped me unlock self-love, appreciation for myself and others, and love for life. Since, that day, my inner flame has been blazing stronger than ever. You enabled me to embrace myself, my fears, resistances, and anxieties. I danced and sang with my heart, something I’ve never done before in my life. It was a truly beautiful moment that I will never forget. I will cherish these memories, experiences, and lessons forever. It stuck with me so much that we came back for round two during the Dances with the Wolves performance. I honestly couldn’t wait to participate in one of your rituals again; the first one left such an imprint. The 2nd performance did not disappoint, you further allowed me to get in touch with my inner self, broaden my spirituality and connection to the elements and universe. For that, I will be forever grateful. Before Boom, I was lost and felt like life had little meaning or purpose. It was a life-changing moment and an experience beyond anything I could imagine. Although I’m still at the very start of my journey of rediscovering myself, the path before me is becoming clearer and clearer, and I finally feel like I’m the creator of my own destiny. I just wanted to share with you the immense impact you had on me. I’ve been listening to your music ever since, my favorites being “Ide Were Were” & “Enraiza-Te”, which have a special place in my heart now, and which I will continue to listen to and guide me in my journey. Thank you for showing me how to love myself, thank you for rekindling my inner flame. Your music and performances are truly special.
