How do I book a party?

To schedule a party, please contact us directly via email ( greetings@seeinggreen.studio ) to inquire. We're currently working on a menu and scheduling widget to make booking easier-- stay tuned!

What's the difference between wheel throwing and hand building?

Accepted Answer

Wheel throwing involves spinning clay on an electric potter's wheel. It's an exciting and messy challenge. Our wheel classes can accommodate up to 8 guests.
Hand Building involves shaping clay by pinching, coiling, or slab‑building—no wheel required. It's a more straightforward, freeform, and relaxing approach to pottery.
Our hand building class can accommodate up to 10 guests.
Want both? Try our DOUBLE package (up to 15 guests) and mix wheel + hand building with two instructors.

Question 3

Will we be glazing our own pottery?

Accepted Answer

If you choose a wheel or handbuilding class, you will not be painting your pottery. The pottery process takes multiple weeks, and your pieces need to be dried and fired before they can be glazed. You will select from our glaze options before you go, and we will finish, glaze, and fire your pieces for you.

If you choose a Paint-Your-Own Pottery class, you will be painting a premade, handmade pottery item of your choice.

Do we get to take our items home the same day?

Accepted Answer

No, unfortunately pottery is a multi-week, messy process. We will finish, glaze, fire, and ship your pieces to you in 4-8 weeks.

Where is your studio located?

Accepted Answer

Our studio is located in Halethorpe MD, 45 minutes North of Washington DC, and 15 minutes South of Baltimore.
Our studio is easy to access, just a skip and a hope down I-95 and you'll find our quaint little studio with simple parking access!

Do you offer mobile experiences?

Accepted Answer

Right now, our staffing is limited so we do not have a menu of mobile experiences. If you're interested in setting up a mobile experience, please reach out to us to inquire.
