do i need to bring anything?
Bathing suit, towel, change of clothes. I will provide leg floats and ear plugs
Do I need to know how to swim?
No swimming ability is required. Watsu is fully supported bodywork, and you’ll be gently held and guided by the practitioner at all times in shallow or comfortable-depth warm water.
What should I expect during a session?
You’ll be guided into slow, flowing movements including stretching, floating, and gentle joint mobilization. Most guests describe it as deeply meditative, almost dreamlike, with a strong sense of weightlessness and calm.
Can this be done if we don’t have a private pool?
Yes. Sessions can be arranged at your location if a suitable warm pool is available, or through partner pool locations coordinated by Charleston Mobile Massage depending on availability.
Is this safe for pregnancy or injuries?
In many cases, yes, but it depends on individual conditions. Prenatal clients and those with injuries are welcome, and the session can be modified for comfort and safety. It’s best to share any concerns in advance so the practitioner can adjust the experience accordingly.
