About this Experience
What you’ll do:
Climb aboard a floating tiki bar, crack open your favourite drinks, and cruise the sun-soaked waters of Key West with your crew, no designated driver required.
Pick your cruise — Choose between the Sandbar-Swim Tiki Cruise, where you anchor in the shallows for a swim stop, or the Sunset Tiki Cruise, where you sip your way through Key West's famous colour-soaked sky.
Bring your own bar — Load up the cooler with your beer, wine, or pre-mixed cocktails. This is a fully BYOB boat cruise, so you decide what's on the menu.
Control the soundtrack — Connect your phone to the onboard Bluetooth speakers and let your group take over as DJ for the full two-hour ride.
Snap the views — The open-water backdrop and tiki boat aesthetic make for the kind of photos that look staged but weren't, expect your group chats to go off.
Book your way — Grab individual seats on a shared public tour or reserve the entire 6-passenger boat for a private Key West boat party with just your group.
This is the kind of afternoon that turns a Key West trip into a story of good drinks, open water, and a captain handling everything while you focus on having a good time. Whether you book seats or take the whole boat, the vibe delivers.
Why we love it for your party:
BYOB freedom — No cocktail menu to navigate and no bar tab to split, bring exactly what your group likes and keep the cost predictable.
Shaded seating — Every seat is covered, so you stay comfortable even in the full Key West sun, and no one bails early because it got too hot.
Licensed captain — A professional handles navigation the entire time, so your group gets to be fully present (and fully off-duty) from the moment you push off.
Flexible group sizing — Booking for more than six? Multiple tikis can depart together from Mac's Place, so larger groups don't have to split up the experience.
Three departure points — Choose the launch location that works for where you're staying: Old Town, the Historic Seaport, or Stock Island, with no need to travel far.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can more than 6 people cruise at the same time?
The US Coast Guard regulations for our tiki boats are 6 people plus crew.... this includes children... NO EXCEPTIONS! For larger groups, you may rent additional tikis and cruise together, departing from our Mac’s place location. We are NOT permitted to tether together while cruising; however, if anchored on a swim stop, we may tether together for larger groups (over 6 persons). The other locations only have the option for one tiki (up to 6 guests).
Are there available life jackets on board?
Yes, there is a type 1 PFD for every passenger. Along with all the Coast Guard requirements for the vessel, including a first aid kit.
Drop off and pick up locations?
The city of Key West and Key West Bight does NOT permit us to drop off or pick up guests anywhere except from our dock spaces at Mac’s place, SchoonerWharf Bar and Hurricane Hole Marina. Please plan accordingly!
Group reservations?
Since 6 persons are the maximum number of guests permitted per tiki… If you are splitting your group it is recommended that you make reservations together under 1 name so that we know you are together! Payments can be split if you call to make the reservations. The online booking system might separate your party if you book your party separately in order to fill the tikis to their maximum capacity of 6 guests each
How fast does the tiki boat go?
The tiki boat has a cruising speed at around 4 to 6 mph.

Who is my captain?
All our captains have been vetted and trained thru the U.S Coast Guard requirements. All captains have been chosen based on their experience with boating and knowledge of the area.
Do your boats operate in the rain?
We do operate in the rain as the tiki boats have a roof. However, the captain can decide at anytime to cancel due to conditions (typically high winds or thunder storms). We operate under USCG's rules. The USCG does not advise going out if wind speeds exceed 20 knots. If you are unable to reschedule and still want to go on one of our cruises, the captains may under certain conditions can go out to cruise in calmer water which is protected by islands or mangroves.
Should i tip my captain?
Our captains do work for tips, so gratuity is greatly appreciated. We suggest a 20% gratuity (on the regular price if using discount) for our captains... they are very experienced, knowledgeable, and work hard to ensure your safety and to provide an amazing tiki experience for our guests!
Do you provide food and drinks?
We do provide coolers with ice, cups, water and sodas. We do not serve any food or other drinks, however you may bring any snacks, food, or alcoholic beverages or you can also purchase your food and drinks from Mac’s Place, Schooner Wharf Bar, or Hurricane Hole or bring them from elsewhere to bring aboard.
What about the restrooms?
Our tikis are NOT equipped with restrooms. We strongly encourage you to use the restroom before leaving the dock. So please do NOT drink more than you are able to "hold" while on your tour!
