Chichen Itza, Cenote with Rope Swing, Colonial Valladolid & Yucatecan Food

What you'll do:

Spending the day with your guide, a native English-speaking former professional photographer, you'll tick off one of the seven Modern Wonders of the World at Chichen Itza, the most famous Mexican ruin. You'll try your hand at the ancient ball game (without the beheading!), learn how the Mayans made paint from flowers, and enter a traditional Mayan house. You can then try local traditional dishes from a Mayan kitchen, swim, jump, or swing (or all three) into a refreshing natural cenote, and round off the day trying more local food in Valladolid, a town famed for its brightly colored streets and Spanish colonial architecture.

• The only additional cost you will incur on the day is for lunch - the guide is passionate about food and will get to know you and what you like, and make a recommendation that best suits. Lunch could be as little $5 or up to about $40 per person.
