About this Experience

What you'll do:

You and your group spend 90 relaxed, hands-on minutes learning the art of quick pickling with Chef Lottie Gurvis, snacking as you go and leaving with a jar of homemade pickles that somehow tastes better because you made it yourselves.

  • Learn the quick-pickle method! Chef Lottie teaches your group how to build a balanced homemade brine from scratch and transform fresh vegetables into bright, crunchy pickles in real time.

  • Snack while you work! Pre-prepared pickles and tasting bites are served throughout the workshop, so the session feels more like a dinner party than a cooking class.

  • Take-home jar included! Every guest leaves with their own 16 oz jar of freshly made pickles to stash in the fridge or crack open later that night.

  • Recipe included! You'll receive Stay for Supper's signature pickle brine recipe so you can recreate the experience long after the workshop ends.

  • Hosted at your location! Chef Lottie brings the entire experience directly to your home or private space, keeping the atmosphere comfortable, intimate, and easy.

This is one of those unexpectedly fun group activities where everyone ends up standing around the counter laughing, tasting things, and asking for seconds.

Why we love it for your group:

  • Actually interactive! Everyone gets involved right away, which makes it perfect for groups where not everyone already knows each other.

  • A skill you'll genuinely reuse! Guests regularly leave inspired to keep making homemade pickles and experimenting with vegetables at home.

  • Different from the usual night out! It gives your group a shared experience that's more memorable than another dinner reservation or cocktail bar.

  • Low-pressure and beginner-friendly! No cooking experience is expected — the workshop is built to feel approachable, social, and fun from the start.

  • Wellness-adjacent without trying too hard! Fresh vegetables, homemade brines, and fermentation naturally give the experience a feel-good element without turning it into a health lecture.
