Frequently Asked Questions for NYC Mobile IV Therapy: Nurse-Administered Drips to Your Hotel or Home

Question 1

What is IV therapy?

Accepted Answer

IV therapy delivers fluids, and when appropriate nutrients, through a small catheter into a vein. It's a direct way to support hydration, given by a medical professional in a monitored setting.

Question 2

How long does an IV take?

Accepted Answer

A session typically takes 30 to 60 minutes, depending on the drip and the individual.

Question 3

Do IV drips work for hangovers?

Accepted Answer

Hangovers are often tied to dehydration and electrolyte imbalance. The hangover-focused drip supports rehydration and recovery, and many clients feel better afterward. Results vary by person.

Question 4

Do IVs hurt?

Accepted Answer

Most people feel a quick pinch at the start, then it's comfortable once the IV is in place. Nurses adjust your positioning to keep you comfortable.

Question 5

Can anyone get IV therapy?

Accepted Answer

It's generally safe for most people, but services aren't offered to anyone under 18. After you book, a medical provider reviews your intake form and medical history to make sure IV therapy is right for you.

Question 6

Can I get IV therapy if I'm pregnant or breastfeeding?

Accepted Answer

Yes, with certain limits. If you note it on your intake form, the medical director reviews your information to make sure it's safe for you.

Question 7

What is the cancellation policy?

Accepted Answer

24 hours' notice is required to cancel or reschedule. Changes made within 24 hours are charged the full service fee. Payments are non-refundable, but appointments can be rescheduled under this policy.
